I sat on the bed as I held my pills in hand.

I couldn't sleep since I didn't take them yet. But I didn't feel like sleeping.

I don't want to sleep...

I put my pills back in the drawer and I suddenly heard some movement.

The girl on the bed next to mine sat up and looked at me. "Why aren't you taking them? " she asked as she yawned.

"I don't feel like it... "

She slowly got out of her bed and laid next to me.

"What's always on your mind? " she asked.

"What do you mean? "

"Well you're always in your own world... Always staring off to the distance. "

"My world is full of monsters. " I said.

"Everyone's world is. "

"How'd you end up here? " I asked her as I turned so I was facing the ceiling.

"My parents passed in a fire and my relatives didn't want me. " she said like it was nothing.

I hummed.

"We're you always an orphan? " she asked me.

"Yes, I was adopted once but that wasn't really a dream family either. "

"Did you ever have someone you wished was your mom? " she asked me making me look at her and she spoke again.

"I did once, in elementary there was this teacher and I always dreamed of her adopting me... But uhm she didn't. " she ended with a sad voice.

"I did... " I mumbled making me smile.

"Who was she? "

"A lady... A very nice lady. She felt safe and comfortable. When I was with her I felt. Somewhat happy... She reminded me of the mom I once had. "

"Why aren't you with her then? "

"I was with her. Even though I wasn't with her legally we lived in the same house and were close. But then this happened... "

"Why don't you call her then? Tell her your safe and back so she can come back. "

"I don't know if I have the right to do that... Plus she's probably doing fine without me. I don't want to bother her. "

"Take your pills Violet! " our orphanage maid told me as I ran out the doors.

I woke up late today and I am unfortunately now late.

Normally I wouldn't see this as a problem but I have a test so I need to be there.

I shook my hand as I ran out the gate and started running to the bus stop.

I impatiently waited for the bus to come and basically jumped in when it arrived like that would make it move faster.

I jumped off the bus at my stop and started running towards the school.

My breath slowly started to quicken but I could tell it was for the wrong reasons.

But I didn't have any time to take a pill so I just ran through the gate of the school.

As I was running to my classroom I internally cursed at myself since the halls were empty and the classrooms were quiet.

I stopped infornt of my classroom and took deep breaths as my hands shook.
