I opened my eyes and I was in Lizzie's guestroom once again.

I sighed and touched my neck and winced as I felt the pain from the bruise.

I left the room and heard some noise downstairs meaning Lizzie was already awake.

I went downstairs and I spotted her in the kitchen making breakfast.

She turned around and smiled when her eyes landed on me. "Good morning Violet. I made some pancakes would you like some? I left yours plain since I don't know what you like on them. "

She pointed to the empty seat and I went to sit on it.

I stared at the stack of pancakes on my plate then looked at the stuff she put on the table. Which was cream cheese, nutella, butter, syrup and some other stuff.

I never really liked syrup. Back when I used to live with my foster mom she made pancakes and put syrup on them.

I didn't really like it so she took the one that had syrup and gave me the plain ones.

I took the syrup and took a tiny piece of a pancake to see if my taste had changed at all.

Maybe I'll like it this time. I slowly put it in my mouth but frowned when I didn't like it.

But I still swallowed it as spitting it up would be rude.

"You don't like it? " I heard Lizzie ask as she sat down.

"No, I mean I do I just don't like syrup... "

"What do you like Violet? " she asked with a smile.

I shrugged.

"Come on, there must be something you like. "

"The ocean and birds. I also like the wind. "

"Birds? "

I nodded.

"Not as pets but animals. I just like them. " I casually told her.

"I see."

We ate in silence and when I finished I spoke. "I'll get ready to leave then. " I said as I started to stand up with the empty plate in my hands.

I felt Lizzie's hand on my arm sitting me back down. "Don't leave Violet. You don't have to. Plus it'll be nice for you to have some company for awhile don't you think? "

"But-"

"No buts I'm insisting. "

I hesitantly agreed.

She smiled. "Well then what would you like to do today? " she said as she also finished her plate.

"I don't really know... Maybe rest? "

"We can rest. " she said with a smile.

After she finished her last cup of coffee she started to clean up and with my help it was done in no time.

Though she did try to stop me but I insisted.

After that she held my hand and we went upstairs. She opened the door to her bedroom and sat down on the bed patting the empty spot next to her.

She reached for the remote and turned the tv on. She clicked on a streaming service and turned to look at me.

"I'll let you pick. " she said and put the remote in my hand.

I scrolled through the movies and spotted sleeping beauty.

I stared at the cover for awhile before I clicked on it and the intro started to play.

As I watched the movie I suddenly heard a tint chucke next to me.

I turned and Lizzie was looking at me with a smile on her face. "What's wrong? " I asked confused.

"You look cute. I haven't seen anyone watch this movie with such a expression. Well except for the 5 year old I looked after afew years back. " she said and looked at the screen.

"I see... "

"Do you like this movie that much? "

"Well it's nice... " The truth is that I used to watch this with my foster mom.

It was a nice memory I had from my childhood. My mom would find the tape and let me watch it on our old ass tv.

I always loved Aurora.

We both silently watched the movie and by the time it ended I remembered something.

"Work." I said making Lizzie turn to me.

"I need to go to work at 4pm. I didn't yesterday. " I said and tried to get out the bed.

"I think it's okay if you miss afew days we can just get a doctors note. " she said pulling me back.

"But..."

She smiled "No buts, and if you do lose it I'll just find you a job. I would love to help you to so you won't have to work. " she said tilting her head.

"Help me? Why would you help me Lizzie? " I asked genuinely confused. Why would she help me.

I was nothing to her, I'm just a pathetic girl she met not to long ago.

"I promised to not leave you and I'm keeping that promise. I'll be with you forever. "

I looked down at my hands remembering last nights events.

It was silent and I lifted my head. I looked out the window and asked Lizzie a question. "Do you think we get what we deserve? " I asked her.

Back when I was with my family, my foster dad would say people get what they deserve.

"Well depends, sometimes people do very bad things and of course they get what they deserve. "

"Do you think I got what I deserve?" I asked. I don't think I did. I never did anything wrong. At least I think I didn't.

"No, no one deserves anything like that Violet... That includes you. " she put her hand on ny cheek.

"For the short time I've known you, you've been nothing but nice. You're a hardworking girl. "

"I have another question Lizzie. Why are you so nice to me? "

She thought for a moment and she smiled. "I guess it's just that, when I'm with you I feel somewhat nice not in that way but I feel like... " she paused for a moment.

"You just remind me of something very precious to me... Not that you look like them or anything but. Being with you gives me the same feeling I had when I was with them. "

"Who? "

"That's for another day my love. " she said taking her hand off my cheek.
