| CHAPTER XXIII |

Weeks ago, I had hoped I could wake up in the morning and have these green eyes as the first thing I saw when I started a new day. The same night I took that vow, I also found out that I was in love with every detail of the owner of that look. Today, I was certain.

Harry woke me up with a kiss, a touch that made me sigh and begin the morning with a big smile on my face. While he was downstairs making breakfast, I took a shower and organized the things we had planned for a trip. This time, our destination was Florence.

I was excited to spend the day together, doing things that we both enjoyed. I had an anxiety that could be compared to that of a child before the opening of Christmas presents. I was happy.

When I went down to the kitchen, I saw him finish toasting the bread and putting on the jam. I offered to finish the coffee so he could shower and arrange the rest of his stuff before we get on the train. The long three-hour journey have to start early so we will had enough time to enjoy the rest of the day.

"Are you excited for today?" he said after returning from the shower to join the table.

"Absolutely! I feel there's a lot to see. Something to remember."

"Not only in your memory, but in mine as well. You have no idea how happy I am to be with someone who is so open to knowing and appreciating new things."

Harry was smiling. I wanted to kiss him right now, but I wasn't brave enough.

After breakfast, we took our stuff and headed for the car that would take us to the station.

It was hard to take my eyes off everything that was touched by that golden sun. Perhaps the only thing that managed to be more attractive than the beauty of the place was Harry. He was sitting in front of my train seat, between a table that kept our bodies apart. He used his camera to take some pics.

For a while, Harry taught me how to use the camera and allowed me to shoot pictures of him. The beauty of that face was breathtaking, and the rays of the morning sun hitting his face, managed to elevate his beauty to a degree unattainable by any other human being.

When we finally arrived in the beautiful city of Florence, we visited the hotel where we would stay overnight and decided to stop for lunch there. Harry and I opted for a salad and bread with different sauces, all accompanied by wonderful local wines.

Florence was in Tuscany and things looked a lot more historical than in Milan. The old  houses and chapels still seemed untouched and in each corner of the most popular squares, we could see art. And this is what we sought during our saga across the paved streets.
