| CHAPTER XXV |

We were sitting in the living room. Louis was talking to his father on the phone and seemed calm because he had me in his hands, as he always had, even though it didn't seem right. I was just wondering if that was really the best decision. Because no matter if it might cause some kind of problem in the future, perhaps facing a problem was less worse than seeing Louis win. However, it wasn't just my fate at stake, but Harry's too. And the last thing I wanted to do was hurt his feelings. I could handle that, for him and for him alone.

When I looked at Harry, I noticed some tension in his face. He had a lost eye between the books in the library and his ears paying attention to all that Louis said to his father on the phone. And as it tormented me, I couldn't imagine how hard it was for Harry.

"I think you better pack your bags, I want to get out of here." Louis said after finishing the call.

I held back my desire to swear to him while I was about to tell something mean, but Harry's hand on my shoulder prevented me from trying. That's when I got up and came up to the room to pack. I wanted to be downstairs just to listen to the conversation between the two brothers, but I thought it was more advantageous to be quick and spare Harry from being in Louis' presence for more than five minutes.

When I put my clothes in that suitcase, I tried to give up. Especially after finding a Polaroid that we took during our trip. Harry was kissing me, his long hair and bright green eyes was taking all the protagonism in the picture to himself. It would be strange to wake up in the next couple of days and not see the owner of all this beauty lying next to me in bed. We had just begun this true intimate relationship, it was still too soon to see everything fall apart in a few hours, it wasn't fair.

I put the last item of clothing under Harry's pillow. That was my favorite t-shirt and he knew it, but more than anything I wanted him to know that it was a sign that I would be coming back for it.

As I walked down the stairs back to the living room, I briefly heard the conversation between Louis and Harry. The older brother insisted on finding out what had happened between us during that time. Harry remained silent, he didn't know what to say to his brother and I could see a certain guilt in his eyes.

"You already got what you wanted, Louis." I talked the minute I followed up with the bags at the door. "Now is the time to give Harry a break."

"You talk like I'm the wrong guy here." he laughed as he walked past his brother, punching him in the shoulder.

"And you're not? You broke into his house and you're kicking me out of here like this is your house, as well as threatening and intimidating him. You're weak for what you want and you know that. Just stop pretending."

"I'm just like a husband who takes care of his marriage."

"You didn't care about him when you decided to get involved with Massimo, did you?"
