-----------------------Dazai's POV--------------------------
I yelled after the fading figure of Kagami, but she didn't even give me a second glance. The human race as a whole has only made my heart hurt like this one time before. I think Kagami just made it two.
What is she doing to me?... I think, shaking my head dejectedly.
For a moment I contemplate running after her, but that will probably just make things worse. Women are curious creatures, that's for sure. I decide to just give her space for now, but even as I'm keeping busy with the agency's new alliance, she never once leaves my mind. I can't help but wonder what devious plan Mori has cooked up. Why does he have to mess with Kagami? Why her? And why now? As the moon begins to rise higher in the dark sky, the worry becomes too much for me. There's this unshakeable twist in the pit of my stomach like something bad might happen. In the darkness of the night, I make my way quickly to her apartment. I take the elevator up to the third floor, rushing down the hallway to her room. I raise my fist up to the door, poised to knock, but stop myself. What if she's still mad at me? This is one situation I'm not quite sure how to handle. The confusion truly boggles my mind. Instead, I let my arm drop limply back to my side and resign to sitting outside her door instead. If I can't bring myself to talk to her, at least I can make sure Mori doesn't try to pull anything while she's asleep. I'll wait here all night to make sure she's safe.
Little does Dazai know, Kagami never made it home in the first place...
