*Marie's POV*

My husband and I walked into Mia's room,  and there sat Dan, right beside Mia's bed. We walked over to him and sat down next to him. He looked at us, smiling, then focused his eyes back in Mia.

"So, has she been sleeping long?" I asked him.

"Actually, I just got in here a few minutes go, and she was barely asleep when I got in here," he told us.

"Okay. Well, you know at Michael is out in the waiting room crying. He's been doing that a lot.."

"Yeah. I feel bad for him. But what do you care? You've never cared about that. You never care about anything he does, unless it involves Mia, then you hate it."

"Well, Dan, I've been thinking.. Michael has done so many things to prove that he loves Mia and cares for her. But when a guy cries over a girl, that's when you really know that he loves and cares about her. That's what's been happening with Michael. He loves and cares about Mia so much that he's been crying a lot lately. I feel bad for him, because now Mia hates him, and she doesn't ever remember anything happening."

"What's gotten i to you, mum?"

"Nothing, Dan.. I've just been thinking, as I said. Michael's not so bad. Only if Mia could see that.."

"Yeah. I can't wait until she wakes up. Maybe if she hears you say that, she'll be okay with Michael, because she knows you're not okay with him, well, you weren't. Maybe tell her when she gets her memory back. It'll be more effective then."

"Okay, I will.." I told him and smiled.

*Dan's POV*

Within a few seconds, Mia was fidgeting, and she turned towards us. Her eyes opened slowly, and she looked at us. I smiled at her, and she smiled back.

She then said, "hey mum.. Hey dad.."

"Hey sweetie. How are you? Are you doing any better?" Mum asked.

"Well, a lot of things still hurt. But I am doing okay. I hate Michael though. He's an asshole," she gritted through her teeth.

"Honey. maybe you're not thinking about all of the good things he's done for you. You're focusing on the bad, not the good."

"What is good about him?"

"Sweetie, I know you don't remember ever dating him, but you guys had so many good times together, trust me. I would always hear you two in your room, laughing. You two love each other so much."

"Not anymore," Mia corrected.

"No, Mia, you both still love each other. You might be mad at him, but that doesn't mean you don't love hmm anymore. You can love and hate somebody at the same time."

"Really? You think so?"

"I know so."

"Thanks mum. I mean, I can't believe what he did to me, but I think I love him. That's what he told me, at least. I can't remember ever dating him, but I believe you guys."

"Good, because we're not lying."

"I just can't wait until I get my memory back.."

"Me too, sweetheart. I can't wait until you can remember everything in the past two years. I can tell you anything if you want me to."

"Tell me more about Michael's and my relationship together," she smiled at mum.

"Okay," mum said and began.
