"...Why?" You asked.

He gave you a confused look. "Why, what?"

"Why do you even care?"

He blinked once. "...I don't." Zero replied. "I just don't want you to bleed out or anything. I know you're quite delicate." You rolled your eyes a bit, he didn't need to call you out or anything. "I have some bandages from my last fight—

"Knuckles beat you up good, huh?" You asked, interrupting him quietly with a small laugh.

"Knuckles..." Zero quietly repeat his name with disgust.

"Heh...I know a thing or two about Knuckles punches...buttttt, then again, I did break his toe when we were younger." You said, chuckling at the memory. You let out a sigh before just frowning. You thought about what happened with Knuckles. You felt horrible...he was still your friend. You broke his heart, didn't you...you could've let him go easier. ...You felt...awful. God, you were an asshole.

Zero suddenly snapped in your face making you jump. "What is that..." He asked, moving your hair away from your neck and looking at the hickey left by none other than Knuckles himself.

"N-Nothing!!" You practically shouted, smacking his hand away from you, letting your hair fall back down by your neck.

"...You've been screwing around?"

"No, it was just a...mistake..." You replied, looking down.

"Sure...now with whom exactly? ...If it's that blue son of bitch, I swear—

"Why is that any of your business?" You interrupted.

He looked around the room a moment. "...It's not, I was just wondering."

"Mhm." You mumbled, as you pulled your arms slowly behind you, trying to untie the ropes around your waist.

"...Um...you do realize I can see you doing that, correct?" He spoke up.

You froze. "...See me doing what?"

"There's a mirror behind you."

You turned your head, but couldn't even see two inches past you. "How can you even see that far!?" You grumbled.

"Good eyesight." He chuckled, tapping on his mask.

"Well, why don't you just do it for me? We can go get the bandages..." You encouraged.

"Mhm, well played." He agreed, untying the rest of the rope around you. Your legs felt a bit numb, the rope had seemed to cut off the blood circulation from your ankles down. "Come on," He said, gesturing towards what you assumed was the door. You stood and immediately collapsed. Zero, which you assumed by just instinct, immediately caught you in his arms. He pulled you up a bit, you just staring into his eyes. "...Are you okay?" He asked, a bit confused.

"Yeah...um, nice reflexes." You replied, pulling away from him and standing up on your own.

"Hm, maybe you should just stay behind, klutz." Zero remarked.

"That's not my fault, now is it?" You growled. He shrugged before taking your arm and leading you through the dark. When he opened the door, you squinted your eyes at the torches which dimly lit up the hall. Zero seemed to clutch onto your arm tighter as if you were gonna try and make a run for it right now.

"This way." He instructed, tugging you forward. You followed reluctantly, trying to keep as much space between you two as possible. The both of you walked awhile before reaching a small door. He opened it, revealing a small storage closet. He then walked in, you following behind. His eyes scanned the room a moment, before focusing on a box in the corner. He opened it, digging around a moment before pulling out some bandages. He then walked over to a sink and wet a paper towel before returning to you.
