When I went downstairs I saw my mom at the table serving something. As I got closer I saw that it was pasta. I sat down at the table across from my dad.

When my mom filled all of our plates she sat down and started eating. when we finished eating I went upstairs and I worked on my homework.

I finally finished my homework 1 hour and a half later. I was fairly sure that all of my homework was wrong because my mind was somewhere else.

I looked at the clock and it was 10:13. So I went to the bathroom then I put my pj's on. I was about to get into bed when there was a knock at my door.

"Come in" I said. My door slowly opened and it reviled my dad standing there in my doorway. As he walked into my room he said "we need to talk."

"Okay" I said cautiously. He sat down on my bed and I did the same. "Are you okay" he asked me. "I'm fine." I said like it was nothing.

"Your mom said that you seemed upset when you found out that I was going for training next week." "I'm not upset." I said to my dad.

"Okay, your sure?" He asked me. "Yes" I said. That one word was so hard to say. I had never lied to either of my parents before, but it seemed to be happening a lot more lately.

My dad then stood up and he kissed my forehead. "Good night he said, sleep well." "good night." I said back. He left my room and shut the door behind him.

I got into bed and I rested my head onto my pillow. Tears streamed down my face as I thought about my dad in the military. I cried my self to sleep, trying not to be heard.
...........................................

The next morning I got up and I had a quick shower. I washed my face because it was red from me crying the night before.

After that I took my bag from my room and I went downstairs. I threw together a few things for my lunch and then grabbed my keys and went outside.

When I went outside I saw that both of my parents car's were gone. "They must have of gone to work early today." I thought to myself.

Then I locked the door and I sat down onto the porch. I looked at my watch and it said 8:00 am. I was early for once in my life.

I pulled my book out of my bag and I started to read. I read for several minutes until I was startled by my phone ringing.

I set my book down and I dug threw my bag for my cellphone. I grabbed my phone and the caller I.D said Doctor Charles.

"Hello" I answered my phone. "Hi Lilly" doctor Charles said, "I wanted to set up a time for me to come over to see Apollo today."

"Okay" I said, "anytime after 4:30 works for me." "Okay" he said, how about 6:30?" "That works." I told him.

"Okay" he said "see you then." "goodbye." I said. Then I hung up. I looked up at my drive way and I saw the bus pulling into my driveway.

I quickly put my cellphone and book into my bag and I headed towards the bus. When I got onto the bus I sat down by the front of the bus.

"Where's Erica I thought to myself." As the bus was pulling out of my driveway I grabbed my book and I started to read again.

I read for a few minutes until someone sat down beside me, I jumped startled. "Hi." someone said. "Hi," I said back. I looked up and saw Jack.

He was a boy from my English class. I didn't know him we'll but from what I heard he was kinda of a jerk. "I like your black horse." He said to me.

"Thanks I said." "I wanna buy him." he said bluntly. "He's not for sale" I said. "He's just a stallion that I'm caring for, and then I'm going to let him go again."

"Right" he said. "I still want to buy him." "He's still not for sale I said." "You could make so much money selling stallions." He said to me.

"Idiot." I thought to myself. Then jack stood up and walked towards the back of the bus. "Bye." I said.

Then I continued reading. "Make so much money." I repeated in my head. When we pulled up in front of my school I put my book back into my bag and I got off of the bus.

When I got into the school I went to English. I still didn't see Erica there. Jack bugged me all day, asking about buying Apollo. Every time he asked me I said the same answer, no.

By the end of the day I was totally done with Jack. But still on the bus he would not leave me alone. I tried to tune him out by reading but nothing worked.

When I got off the bus I sighed with relief, Jack was gone at least for now. When I got into the house both my parents were in the kitchen.

"Your both home early" I said. "Yes" my mom said. "Doctor Charles is going to be here at 6:30." I told them both. "Okay" my dad said.

"We will have dinner at 5:30 then." my mom said. "Okay" I said. Then I headed up to my room. I set my bag down and I grabbed my homework out of it.

It didn't take me long to finish it. So when I was done I went outside to the barn. Then I fed and watered all three horses.

After that I put Jinx and Clover into the paddock together. Then I headed back into my house. When I looked at the clock it was 5:15 pm.

So I went upstairs and I read some of my book. Then I went down stairs at 5:30. My mom was siting at the table across from my dad.

The three plates that were set out on the table had food on them. When I sat down on the table there was chicken and green beans on everyone's plate.

While we were all eating my dad said "hopefully doctor Charles says that Apollo is ready to be let go." My mom nodded in agreement.

"I hope so I said to my dad." But the truth was I did the worst thing possible, I had gotten attached to Apollo over the past few weeks.

I just hope that I am ready to let him go I thought to myself. After dinner I helped clean up and then I went out to the barn.

I then took Apollo out of his stall and I took him outside and exercised his leg. Apollo and I walked around the barn a few times and then I put him into the paddock with Clover and Jinx.

I was very surprised that Apollo, Clover and Jinx got along good together. As I was watching the horses I heard someone pull into our driveway.

I turned around and I saw Doctor Charles getting out of his truck. Then as Doctor Charles was heading my way, my parents came out of my house and started walking my way to.

When my parents and Doctor Charles got to the paddock I said "hey" to the vet. "Hi" he said back. Then he said "can you take Apollo out of the paddock please?"

"Sure" I replied. Then I went into the paddock and I got Apollo and brought him out to doctor Charles.

After that my parents and I watched as the vet removed the gauze on Apollo's leg. When he took the gauze off Apollo's leg looked better.

"Is it okay?" I asked the vet. "It's looking good" doctor Charles told me. "Good." My dad said.

"So what's the verdict?" My mom said, "can we let him go now?" "I am going to give him on more dose of antibiotics to make sure that the infection won't come back and then you can let him go next week sometime. The vet said.

"Okay" I said, sounds good. Then doctor Charles said that he had to go and get the antibiotics from his truck.

When doctor Charles came back he was holding a needle in his hands. Then doctor Charles and I walked over to Apollo and I started rubbing his back.

"Can I give him the needle doctor Charles asked?" "Go ahead." I told him. Then doctor Charles gave Apollo the needle in his back.

After that doctor Charles said "I'm surprised that Apollo trusts you so much." " I'm very surprised too." I told doctor Charles.

Then we said our goodbyes and doctor Charles left our house. After that I put all the horses back into their stalls, then I went back into my house. _________________________________________________________________________________I suck at ending chapters, anyways sorry that I haven't updated in two weeks it has been crazy busy lately.
