Chapter 14

I was looking out the window of the bus on my way to school. After my mom had left the house I brushed my teeth and I went outside and waited for the bus.

I was still upset after my mom just left me standing there in the doorway, but I thought that maybe my mom didn't want to talk to my dad because she didn't want to tell him that she was upset.

I had told Erica about everything that had happened in the past few days and I also told her about what my mom said in the morning. she said that I should just tell my dad that my mom was upset.

But I didn't want to make my mom mad and I didn't want to make things worse around the house. I told Erica that I wasn't sure if I should do that, and she said that she understood.

The bus was pulling up in front of the school when I jumped because Erica grabbed my shoulder. "sorry, what did you say?" I asked Erica. "I didn't say anything" Erica said, "I just put my hand on your shoulder and I didn't mean to scare you."

"Oh" I said embarrassed. "My mind is everywhere today" I said. "I know" Erica said, "it's okay." "Okay" I said quietly. The bus stopped suddenly, and I realized that we were at school.

I grabbed my things and I got off of the bus with Erica. Then Erica and I walked into school together. After that we went to English class together. During all of English class I had a really hard time paying attention to the teacher.

I was siting at my desk when the teacher walked over to me and said "do you know the answer Lilly?" "Um no" I said quietly. "Of course you don't" my teacher said. "Because you weren't listening!" "I was but" I was interrupted by my teacher again, "go to the office!" he shouted.

I grabbed my things and I ran out of class, as I was leaving I saw Erica staring at me. I dropped my things into my locker and then I went to the office. When I got into the office the principal said "what do you need?"

The principal was a very tall man and his name was Mr. White. "I don't need anything." I said, releasing how rude that sounded I added, "I mean my English teacher sent me here."

"Why" Mr White asked blankly. "Because he thought that I wasn't listening to the lesson." "Were you?" Mr White asked. "I was listening I just didn't know the answer to the question." I said.

"Okay" Mr white said, "you can stay here for a few minutes until next period, then you should go to your next class." "Alright" I said. Then I watched Mr white head back into his office.

I then sat down into a black uncomfortable chair behind me. I looked behind the desk at the clock that was on the wall, and it said 10:53. That meant that I had seven minutes and counting until science.

I sat in the black chair for a few minutes and I watched the clock until it said 10:58. Then I stood up and walked over to Mr White's office. I knocked on the door and listened to footsteps behind the door.

The door opened and I said "I should go and get my books for my next class." Mr White looked at his watch and said "okay have a good day Lilly." "You to Mr White," I said.

After I spoke to Mr White I went to my locker and I grabbed my science books and I headed to class. When I got to class the bell rang right before I sat down.

"I'm happy that you early today." Mrs Dodd my teacher said. "I'm happy too." I said to her lying through my teeth. I liked Mrs Dodd but she was weird sometimes.

I watched my fellow classmates come into the class room, and I was happy that I didn't have to talk to Mrs Dodd alone anymore. I tried to watch Mrs Dodd during all of science so that I won't have a repeat of English class.

After class it was lunch so I went to the cafeteria to by myself lunch. When I got to the cafeteria I saw Erica siting at a table eating. She looked at me and I mouthed one minute to her. Erica nodded back at me.

Then I walked up to the counter where the food was, and I grabbed a tray. As I walked further down the line I saw that they had spaghetti for sale. The school's spaghetti was usually pretty good so I bought that.

After I bought my lunch I walked back over to the table that Erica was siting at. "How are you?" She asked me. "How do you think?" I said. "I thought so Erica said."

"I can't believe that our English teacher did that to you." Erica said. "I know right!" I said. I slowly started to eat and Erica did the same. By the looks of it she was eating a ham sandwich.

Her mom always packed her lunch, and I wished that my mom would do the same. Whenever we talked about our parents Erica said because her mom didn't have a job she had time to pack her lunch.

After Erica and I ate in silence for a few minutes she said that she would be right back and that she was going to the bathroom. I finished eating while Erica was in the bathroom and I set my dirty tray onto the counter.

When I got back to our table Erica was finishing eating, and I said "I'm going to go get ready for gym." "Okay" she said, "good luck with the rest of the day."

"Thanks." I said. Then I walked away and went to my locker. When I got there I grabbed my gym clothes and I went to the change rooms that were connected to the bathrooms. After I got dressed I remembered that I had left my science books in the cafeteria.

So I went back to the cafeteria and I took my books off of the table that Erica and I sat at. Then I went back to my locker and put my books into my locker. After that the bell rang over head telling everyone that the next period had started. Then I headed to gym class.

Finally the bell rang, and I was happy. I grabbed my things and I left math class. I took my homework out of my locker and I left the school. When I got outside I walked over to the bus stop.

When I got there I didn't see Erica. I waited at the bus stop for a few minutes until Erica showed up. "Where were you?" I asked Erica when I saw her. "Class ran late," Erica said sounding irritated.

"That sucks!" I said to Erica. "Oh ya" she said. Erica and I didn't stand there for long until the bus showed up. "Early for a chance." I thought to myself. Erica and I got onto the bus together and we sat down together.

Erica and I didn't say much for most of the bus ride because I was reading and she was studying. I put my book away and Erica stopped studying. "I'm going to try to get my mom to talk to my dad before he goes for training tomorrow." I told Erica.

"Sounds like a good idea" Erica said. "Okay" I said. Erica and I went back to doing our on thing for the rest of the bus ride. When the bus pulled up in front of my house I grabbed my stuff and Erica said "good luck, tell me how it goes."

"Alright" I said. Then I got off of the bus and I walked up to my house. I didn't know how I was going to get my mom to talk to my dad but I was going to try really hard.

I had to unlock the front door because neither of my parents were home. When I got into the door I grabbed and apple and I brought my bag upstairs. I set my bag onto my bed and I started to eat my apple.

After I finished eating I headed out to the barn. Then I fed and watered all the horses. After that I let Apollo, Clover and Jinx into the paddock together. Then I went back inside and started on my homework.

I worked on my homework for a little while until I heard the front door open. I went downstairs and I saw both of my parents coming into the door. "Hello" my mom said. "Hi" I said back. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________Heres the next chapter I hope you like it!!!
