Midnight stallion

Chapter 7

After I went into my house I looked at the clock and it said 6:01 pm. My mom said "how's it going?" "Good" I said. After that I went upstairs and I read for about 25 minutes.

Then I heard my mom calling me. I put my book down on my desk and I went downstairs. When I went downstairs my mom said "dinner is ready."

I sat down at the table across from my dad and I said "how are you." My dad said "I'm good thanks." "Good" I replied.

As I said this my mom came over to the table carrying a pot. She set the pot down onto a hot pad.

When I looked in the pot I saw spaghetti and meatballs. "Yes" I thought in my head. I loved when my mom made spaghetti and meatballs.

I served myself some food and my parents did the same after me. "How's dinner?" My mom asked me. Amazing I told her.

"Thanks I'm glad that you enjoy it." My mom said. "How is Apollo?" My dad said. He is okay I told him.

"Good" my dad said. After we all finished eating dinner I helped clean up the table and then I headed out to the barn.

When I got to the barn I went inside and I took Apollo out of his stall. Then I took him outside into the paddock so that I could exercise his leg.

I exercised his leg for about 15 minutes. Then we went back into the barn and I grabbed all the tools that I needed to brush him and I brushed him from top to bottom.

I then put Apollo back into his stall. After that I went back inside my house and the time was 8:00 pm. So I went upstairs and I had a shower.

The next morning I woke up at 6:30, and I got dressed into my school uniform. I then went downstairs and I grabbed a bowl.

I then poured some cereal into my bowl. Then I put some milk in and I sat down at the table and I started to eat.

I was still eating when my mom came down the stairs. "Hi" she said to me. "Hi" I said back. My mom was ready for work, I could tell because she had on her name tag from the library.

Her name tag read "hi my name is Tina how may I be of service?" My mom came down the stairs and she put some bread in the toaster.

Then I finished eating and I rinsed out my bowl and I put it into the sink. After that I went upstairs and as I was going up the stairs I passed my dad walking down the stairs.

My dad was ready for work, I knew because he had overalls on, and he was wearing a name tag that said "Frank." "Hi Lilly" my dad said.

"Hi dad", I replied. When I went upstairs I went into the bathroom and I brushed my teeth.

After that I grabbed my backpack out of my room and I went back downstairs. When I went downstairs both of my parents said goodbye and they left for work.

Then I grabbed my keys of off the counter in the kitchen, and I went outside onto my porch and I locked the door behind me.

Then I put my backpack down onto the porch and I headed to the barn. When I got to the barn I mucked out all three horse stalls.

Then I headed back to my porch. When I got to my porch I grabbed my bag and I sat down on my bench. I then checked my watch.

My watch said 8:25. "So my bus should come soon" I thought in my head. Then I grabbed my book out of my bag and I started to read.

According to my watch I had been reading for about 10 minutes until I heard the bus pull up in front of me.

I put my book back into my bag and I walked off my porch and I headed toward the bus. When I got on the bus I saw Erica and I sat down beside her.
