Midnight stallion

Chapter 6

The next morning I was looking out my window at Apollo inside the paddock.

I had woke up at 7:00 am that morning and I had a quick shower then got dressed into my school uniform.

After watching Apollo out my window for about 5 minutes I headed downstairs to eat breakfast. When I went downstairs my mom was at the stove cooking some thing.

My mom said "I am making pancakes for breakfast today." I said ok sounds good.

Then I grabbed a plate out of the cupboard and my mom dropped two pancakes onto my plate. "Thanks" I said. "Your welcome" my mom said.

I then sat down at the table and I put butter and syrup on my pancakes. "Good morning" my dad said to me. "Good morning" I replied.

Then out of nowhere my dad said that he had talked to the military last night. I felt like I couldn't breath, whenever I heard the word military I started to panic.

My dad had applied for the military almost 2 years ago. The process was very long and stressful for me.

"what did they say?" I asked my dad. The military said that I have to go for my medical in Manitoba. We lived in Ontario Canada.

I said "okay how are you suppose to get to Manitoba?" He said that the military will pay for a plane ticket to and from Manitoba.

"Oh" I said, are you excited to go on a plane?? "Kind of" my dad said. Right after he said that my mother sat down at the table with two pancakes on her plate.

"When are you going to Manitoba?" My mom asked my dad. My dad said "I will get a call in the next month or so to set up a date to go there."

After I finished eating I rinsed off my plate and I loaded it into the dishwasher. Then I looked at the clock on the stove and I said 8:00 am.

So I ran upstairs and I grabbed my bag and I put my books into it. Then I grabbed my keys off of my desk and I went back downstairs.

Then I saw both my parents leaving and they both said "bye Lilly." I said "goodbye" to both off them too.

After that I went outside, locked my door and I headed for the barn. When I got into the barn I grabbed Clover's food bucket and filled it up.

Then I took Clover's food bucket back to her stall and I grabbed her water bucket and filled it up.

After that I walked across the barn to Jinx's stall. Then I grabbed his water bucket and I filled it up and I put it back into his stall.

Then I filled his food bucket up. After that I walked outside of the barn and I checked my cellphone to see the time.

The clock said 8:15, so I had about 15 minutes until my bus came to pick me up. Then I walked over to the paddock and I went into the paddock.

When I went into the paddock Apollo came right over to me. So I started to rub his back.

After about 5 minutes of petting Apollo I grabbed his food bucket and I filled it up. Then I grabbed his water bucket and I filled it up.

Then I saw the bus pull up into my driveway and I ran out of the paddock and I locked the paddock door quickly.

I ran towards my driveway and I hopped into the bus. When I got onto the bus I heard someone call my name.

I looked around the bus and I saw Erica waving her hand at me. I walked over to Erica and I sat down beside her.

As I sat down I felt the bus pull out of my driveway. "How did you catch him?!" Erica said to me.

"Catch who?" I asked Erica. The stallion!! Erica said. "Oh ya I said." I went for a ride with clover last night I told her and I saw the stallion.
