Midnight stallion

Chapter 2

Beep beep beep my alarm went off. I looked at the clock and it said 7:00 am. I hit the off button on the clock and then I got up and made my bed.

Then I took a shower and put my school uniform on , I hated my school uniform it was a black and blue striped shirt and a black skirt with white trim at the bottom. I hated the uniform because I didn't like skirts.

After I got dressed I brushed my hair then I went downstairs to have breakfast and I found my Mom standing at the stove making breakfast.

Smells good I said when I went down stairs. My Mom said thanks Lilly, I'm making French toast. My dad was sitting at the kitchen table reading the newspaper when he asked me how I slept?

I told him that I slept okay but I told him that I got up and sat on the porch around midnight because I couldn't sleep.

Then I told my parents about how I found the stallion and about how he was hurt. I also told my parents about how I left a bucket of water outside behind the shed for the stallion. Both my parents said that we should call the vet and ask him to come here to help treat the stallions leg.

After I ate breakfast I called our vet, his name was doctor Charles. The vet said that he would treat the stallions leg if we could get him into the paddock. I told the vet that I would try to get him in the paddock later today after school, and I also told the vet that if I could get him In the paddock that I would call the vet to tell him.

After I talked to doctor Charles I ate breakfast with my parents and then I watched my mom drive to the library for her work, and I watched my dad leave for the power plant where he worked.

After both my parents left for work I went upstairs to brush my teeth. Then I looked at the clock and It said 8:15. My bus came to pick me up at my house around 8:30. So I quickly packed my lunch and I grabbed my bag with my books in it and I went out on my porch, and then I locked the front door with my keys and I sat on the porch and waited for the bus to come.

About 5 minutes later the bus came to pick me up. I got on the bus and I picked a seat near the back of the bus and then the bus driver drove away from my house, I looked out the window as my house left my view. I was looking over some of my homework when I felt someone sit down beside me.

I turned to look at who it was and it was my best friend Erica, Erica was in grade 10 just like me. Erica and I had know each other since grade 6. Erica was tall for her age and she had light blonde hair, her eyes were dark green.

Sometimes people would say that we looked like twins but neither of us thought that we looked alike. I had dark blonde hair and blue eyes, I was tall for my age and I had freckles. Erica asked me how I was? I told here that I was good. I also told her about the stallion that I saw last night, I asked her if she would come over after school to try and help me get the stallion into the paddock?

Erica said that she would help me try to get the stallion in the paddock. After I finished talking to Erica the bus driver stopped and we were at the school. Both of us got off the bus and walked into the school together, then we both headed our own ways to our classes.
