Chapter 20

What do I say? I thought to myself." Lilly"was all that I said. "Okay'' the voice said. I watched him extend his hand towards me.

I was surprised that he wanted to help me up but I cautiously took his hand and stood up. I looked at him quickly and noticed that he looked to be about my age but he was very tall, and handsome.

"So" he said... "What are you doing out in the woods at this hour?" "Taking a walk.." That's the worst lie that I've ever told in my life, I thought.

"Fine then don't tell me.'' "I'll be back" I said fast. Then I turned around and ran into the woods to get Clover. I found her quick and then untied her from the tree and got onto her.

I rode her up towards the boy on the rode. When I got close to him I got off of Clover. Then I said, "this is my horse."

" Awe" The boy said. Even in the dim moonlight I could see the boy's face light up when he saw Clover. He was a horse lover, I could tell.

He pet Clover and said "My name is Aidan, and I'm sorry if I came off rude before but I'm just worried." "it's okay, I said what's the matter? "My horse ran off this afternoon and I've been looking for him since then"

"Oh" I said, "I don't know what I would do if one of my horses took off on me." "Thanks" Aidan said. After a moment of silence I said "I'm not busy... Maybe I could help you look for your lost horse?"

"You shouldn't have to do that I don't even know you. Aidan said."I know but I love horse and I want to help.'' I told Aidan. "Alright" Aidan said in defeat.

I was about to get back onto Clover when he said "oh yeah his name is Jack, my horse." "Okay" I said I will try to help you find him." "Thank you" Aidan said sincerely.

I mounted Clover and took off in front of Aidan. I rode Clover a few minutes down the road until something told me to stop.

I stopped Clover in the middle of the road, normally I would never ride Clover on the road, but we were on a country road and it was night so not many people drove around at this time.

Clover and I rode over to the woods and I got off of her knowing that the bush was to thick to ride through. Again I tied her to a tree, and I wandered into the bush.

It was dusk so It was mostly dark,I felt a branch hit my cheek and I reached up and felt blood. The branch had cut my cheek. Just one thing after another, I thought.

I kept going into the bush and I started calling ''Jack!!'' "Jack!!" I heard something that sounded like snorting and I followed the noise.

It lead me deeper into the bush and finally I saw a horse standing beside a tree. Jack! I thought. I walked up to the horse and he kicked his back legs. "Easy" I said "easy."

The horse calmed down and I noticed a cut on his side. I slowly walked closer to him and he stayed calm. The cut wasn't deep but it was deep enough to bleed.

I pet the horse and he relaxed a little. Then I gently grabbed his mane and lead him out of the bush. I took him over towards clover and he just stood beside her.

I was happy that he didn't try to take off again. Then I slowly got onto Clover to see if he would follow me. He did, I started back towards Aidan, and he followed behind Clover and I. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated in forever.
