My thoughts almost didn't let me sleep well last night.

The next day I contacted Alice's parents because they needed to be informed of what their daughter had done.

I invited them to come to my house so I can tell them what Alice did.

It didn't take long and Mrs and Mr Fortuna were already here.

"Hi good morning ma'am, sir, please sit down."

We are now in the living room.

Karen immediately prepared breakfast for us.

"So you said our daughter took your child? why did she do that?"

Mr. Fortuna asked.

I nodded before answering.

"Yes sir, I also don't know why she took my Sophie and doesn't want to return her to us."

The two couples stared at each other as if they were still confused.

"You want our help so you negotiated with us now?"

Mrs. Fortuna asked.

"Exactly ma'am, I really need your help because it looks like we're going to have a hard time with how we can get her from your daughter."

They both nodded and smiled at me.

"Don't worry, we will help you, we know how you feel now as a parent. I just don't understand why Alice is doing this."

"Our daughter was sick then, but she is fine now. I hope you don't send her to jail after what she did."

Mrs. Fortuna said sadly.

"Don't worry, ma'am, sir, I just want my daughter's back, that's fine with me."

After the conversation, we were able to plan what to do. First we will go together to the place where Alice stayed. Second, her parents will convince to return Sophie to us. And if it persists, they will take Alice and forcefully send her back to their home.

I hurriedly got out of the car when we reached the place. Mrs and Mr Fortuna's car also stopped right.

"So this is where our daughter is staying."

Mrs. Fortuna said shaking her head and rang the doorbell herself.

Not long after, their daughter Alice appeared too, looking like she had just woken up.

"Mom, dad what are you doing here?"

She said happily before she looked at me and suddenly frowned.

"What this, why are you with them?"

She pointed at me with her index finger.

"Give them their daughter, why are you hiding her? Her parents worries about her so much."

Alice just rolled her eyeballs.

"No! Sophie don't deserve them! they are liars!"

Her parents were surprised when she shouted.

"Alice, what happened to you? do you want me to force you to go home?"

Suddenly she was afraid of what her father said.

"D-dad no."

Alice seems to be kinder now.

"Then give them their child!"

Alice shook her head.

"If you won't do it, you will marry Joseph's son!"

I can see how the expression in Alice's eyes changed, she seemed more scared.

"What? Dad, are you blackmailing me?"

She said sadly.

"Yes! so don't be stubborn or else!"

Her father said.

"Fine!"

Alice answered annoyed before looking at me.

"You really used my parents!"

She suddenly turned around and went inside.

After a while she also came back out with Sophie who was crying.

"Daddy! mommy!"

Sophie ran to us crying.

"Oh God Sophie, are you okay? we miss you so much."

We approached her and I carried her on my shoulder.

"We were so worried about you, Sophie."

Karen said worriedly.

"Daddy, mommy, I'm sorry for worrying you. Aunt Alice is bad, she doesn't want to send me home."

She told us while still crying and my hand is now clenching.

I approached Mrs and Mr Fortuna.

"Thank you very much Ma'am, sir, I hope this doesn't happen again because I'm going to sue your daughter."

I Reminding them, Mrs. Fortuna smiled at me.

"No problem, go home and we'll talk to our daughter."

Mr. Fortuna answered and I immediately nodded.

While we were going home, I couldn't stop asking Sophie.

"Sophie tell me the truth, what did Alice do to you?"

I peeked at her in front of the mirror in my car while she's quietly sitting in the back.

"She told me everything daddy."

She answered sadly.

"She doesn't want to send me home because she says you're a bad father and she said you killed mommy."

Damn that Alice! How dare her told that to my daughter?!

"That's not true Sophie, she just said that to make you angry with me."

Sophie just nodded.

I sighed.

"I will tell you everything when we get home."

Sophie didn't speak again, it looked like she was tired from crying earlier.

I now turned to Karen who was looking at me. She gave me a beautiful smile.
