Chapter twenty five

I just arrived in Manila, I was in Cebu and I stayed there for a few months with my Aunt when I left.

I also can't stay with my aunt for a long time because I might become a burden to her.

I returned to Manila because I got a new job with the help of my friend Alice, she recommended me as a receptionist at a famous resort in Manila.

I accepted the job because the salary was not a joke, it was big and I also needed to work especially as I knew that..

I am three months pregnant.

I smiled bitterly.

When I left, there were symptoms that I really felt.

The child in my womb is 3 months old and my stomach is growing quite a bit.

They said I could still be there at work because I'm still far from giving birth.

I also need a savings for my child's future. If I can revive myself, I can do the same for both of us.

I rubbed my stomach and smiled.

"Hey my little peanut, mommy is so excited to see you."

I don't know the gender yet since it is only 3 months old.

My child's definitely good looking, is it because of the father's genes?

I shook my head, forget about him Shanelle.

He's already happy with her wife.

When I got out of the taxi, Alice was right outside my apartment, apparently waiting for me.

I'm very glad that I have her, she treated me like her sister too.

"Oh pregnant, here's the key to your apartment, I missed you so much Shanelle."

I immediately took it and hugged her.

"I missed you too Alice, thank you for saving my apartment."

I let go of the hug.

"No problem, I only paid your apartment for three months."

I know their family is quite rich, but I would still pay her.

"Don't worry, I'll pay you."

She just laughed.

"No, Shanelle, it's okay! It's a small thing, then that's your savings for your child."

Then I have no choice.

"Thank you Alice, I always appreciated your kindness."

She smiled at me.

"Oh I'm leaving, be careful and take care of your baby."

I smiled at what she said before she left.

When I got inside, nothing had changed.

I miss my apartment so much..

Alice really maintain it, it was very clean.

I looked in the kitchen because I saw paper bags there.

I immediately go there, I also saw a letter written there.

That's for you Shanelle, I went to shopping and grocery for you, so that you don't have to go out later, there's food there and so you can rest.

Oh wow, My heart was melted by Alice's kindness to me.

Can't stop crying.

I opened them, there was meat, pork, fish, hot dogs, lumpia and other ingredients. There is also a ready to eat meal.

I feel so blessed!

By the way, there's still two days to go before I will start working at the Resort.

So from now on, I need to rest first.

But I woke up in bed, as if my stomach was looking for something.

I'm craving for something.

I couldn't stop going out.

I went to a mall and went to the grocery store.

I arrived quickly because the mall here is within walking distance.

My face lit up when I saw what I was looking for.

Apple and grapes!

When I was about getting the grapes someone stole it from me.

I was amazed at the person.

She's Mrs Dynaire! Tim's mom!

"Wait, I know you? you must be Shanelle, right?"

I was a lil bit shocked.

"Y-yes ma'am"

She looked at my body shape.

"You're craving for this?"

She pointed the grapes.

"Yes."

She obviously knows that I'm pregnant.

"I know that you're pregnant, wait where's your husband? why are you alone."

She looks concerned, Tim's mom is kind.

If she only knew that her son was the father.

But I have no plans to tell her, it's for the good of everyone.

I don't want trouble, I want to focus in my life because I am contented with my child and I already learned from my mistakes before.

"I-I'm with him, he just went on the other side."

I lied.

"Is that so? anyway, how are you?"

Why is she so kind to me?

"I'm doing good ma'am."

I answered.

"You're my son's ex, don't worry I don't hate you. "

She smiled at me.

I can't speak.

"Get this, I should go Shanelle it was nice to meet you."

She gave me the grape she was holding.

"Oh t-thank you."

Then I just watched her walk away.
