three months later.

Jeongguk held onto the note in his pocket tight, staring at his teacher who did the register in the morning. It had been three months since Jeongguk had last seen Taehyung or even heard about him.

The first month people did wonder where he had mysteriously disappear too, but after a while they forgot about it. Jeongguk felt a wave of relief now that Taehyung had stopped showing up, but then a feeling of worry took over.

The note Taehyung had left him began to seem different, at first he saw it as some pointless thing but now it began to see a lot more serious.

Maybe he just left? Jeongguk felt a bitter taste form in his mouth. How could Taehyung get away from everything whilst he was stuck at a stupid university and suffering all the trouble. Where ever he is, I hope he rots.

"We've had to do a lot of skin grafting, the skin on his lower back had began to rot due to open wounds, it's healed pretty well but there's some scarification," The doctor spoke and sadly stared at the sobbing mess in front of her, the boys parents were in tears and his little sister too.

"Why's he still not awake? It's been three months," Mrs. Kim's voice cracked, her dainty hands resting against her husband who was equally as devastated as her.

"It's due to the head injury, he had woken up a week ago but as we mentioned the swelling in his brain is tremendous so we've put him in a medically induced coma," She spoke carefully, "He should be waking up now, but we'd like to remind you there's a likely hood of memory loss due to damage around the hippocampus,"

"Is it permanent?" Hanseul asked, her long hair a mess due to spending so much time in the hospital and running home to get things.

"Most likely not, there's a chance of it coming back in pieces after some time. We have a psychologist that we'd like him to see, she has worked with many patients like this before," The woman informed the trio who were silent.

The door behind them opened and a nurse stepped out with a paper that had the boys stats written down, "Dr. Brown, the patient has woken up. Good afternoon Mrs and Mr. Kim, I'm Taehyung's nurse, Emma,"

"How is he?" Mr. Kim asked and stepped forward, eager to go in and see the boy.

The nurse was silent for a moment and she nervously glanced at the doctor, "Has he always been a talkative and aggressive person?"

"No? He's a very sweet and shy young man," Mrs. Kim nervously looked at the doctor who seemed surprised.

"Damage to the frontal lobes can cause a change in personality and action, this can be permanent. I'm not a psychologist so I'm not that well educated on this part, but a neurologist and psychologist will come see him soon," Dr. Brown turned towards the door and placed her hand on the handle, "Are you guys alright to see him now? It may be a lot to handle."

"Yes," The said in unison and hurriedly walked closer.

The door opened slowly, first the doctor stepped in and then the other three. Taehyung was in the middle of the room with bandages around his head and also around his arms, one of his feet had a massive plaster too.

His once always teary and doe eyes were wide in confusion and a result of adrenaline. Honey skin was how paler due to being inside for the three months and being covered in bandages.

"Okay so now who the fuck are they?" Taehyung stuck a finger out the trio that stood frozen in amazement and surprise, the room fell quiet and nurses exchanged glances with the doctor.

"Afternoon, Taehyung, can I ask you to tell me your date of birth?"

"December or something," Taehyung shuffled on the bed and grunted, "Can someone hurry up and tell me what's going on?"

"Tae, honey you were in a car accident," Mrs. Kim rushed over to the boy, "I'm your mum, that's your dad and that's you're sister. Do you remember us?" She hiccuped and placed a hand on Taehyung's should who leaned away with an annoyed face.

"If I knew, I don't think I would've asked who you guys are," He scoffed, "Can you give me something? My heads killing me," he stared at the nurses.

"There's pain killer in the IV drip, it'll start kicking in soon," The doctor explained on top of all the crying that began to get worse, "I'll give you guys a moment, I'll be back with some other specialists," she bowed and left the room.

"Tae, tae come on do you not remember me?" Mr. Kim stepped forward and sat on the bed with his wife, placing comforting hands around his shoulders.

Taehyung let out a frustrated sigh and stared helplessly at his family. It felt as if he had woken up one day randomly in some random person's body and now he was expected to live his life with his memories.

His eyes wandered over to his sister as he had been told, an eyebrow raised when he saw the girl biting back laughter and staring at him with mischievous eyes.

A smile lifted on his face, and he too began to laugh a little.

"Are you hungry? Have they gave you anything to eat yet? Do you want us to get anything?" Mr. Kim frantically asked the boy who nodded and instantly he stood up, "I'll get something,"

"I'll come, I'll buy his favourite snacks," Mrs. Kim stood up too, rushing out of the room with her husband leaving just the two siblings.

Taehyung stared at the girl who slowly walked over and sat down too, "So like, what do you remember?"

"Well hello to you too, damn," Taehyung rolled his eyes at the girl.

"I'm your sister Hanseul," She quickly introduced  herself and leaned forward, "Do you really not remember anything? Like my name, my age, now when we were twelve I hit your head with a pan and you pretended to go in a coma?"

"The fuck? No," Taehyung had expected her to start sobbing like his parents, but the girl seemed like she found the situation funny.

"This is so cool- I mean it's sad but it's so cool," She gasped, "That means you don't know your best friends do you?"

Taehyung scrunched his eyebrows as he thought hard, a few letters popped up but the name wouldn't come to his head, "J...someone whose name begins with a J?"

"Yes!" She clapped her hands, "I'll tell you all the details later, I'm not gonna now because I read online that if someone wakes up from a coma and you tell them everything they might go into a shock,"

"Can you tell me who I am?" Taehyung asked weakly, the one thing he desperately wanted to know was himself. He felt like he had no self awareness or any self-image.

The girl hummed, "Well, you're Kim Taehyung and you're 18. You're my twin brother but you're older than me by 10 minutes, you're really kind and smart, you barely speak and you're such a crybaby. You also go to the best university in this country, you're also in a cour-" The girl paused for a second, she didn't want to drop the bomb on Taehyung yet, "I mean you're also class president."

"I sound like a fucking loser," Taehyung frowned, moving his arm when a nurse came forward to take some more blood tests.

"No, you're a really nice person a lot of people actually really like you," She smiled, leaving out the dark parts.

Maybe this is his chance to forget about all the bad things. They'll finally drop the case too. She thought to herself.

"Who's Jeongguk?" Taehyung suddenly asked making the girl freeze, "The name keeps popping up in my head every-time you mention university,"

"Oh um," She nervously laughed, "Wow, I can't believe he's the first person you think of and the name you remember,"

"He must be important then, right? Who is he?" Taehyung sat up intrigued. The girl was silent for a bit before she decided to answer.

"One of your best friends."
