Jeongguk stirred on the bed, waking up to Taehyung's alarm that the other boy sleeping through peacefully. Jeongguk slowly sat up to turn it off and then glanced behind him to see Taehyung breathing softly with his eyes shut.

Jeongguk was going to go back to sleep until he remembered that Taehyung had asked him to come to his doctors appointment with him, "Taehyung, wake up," he croaked and shook the boy who whined and flinched awake.

"What's the time?" Taehyung slowly pushed himself up and yawned, eyes still shut and head tilting to the side as sleep tried to take over.

"It's 11 am, what time's your appointment?" Jeongguk tapped his arm as he spoke to wake up the boy.

"12 something," Taehyung groaned realising that was soon and he actually had to get up, "I don't know what hospital it is or where it's."

"Did they send a letter? It should say on there," Jeongguk asked the boy who hummed and picked up his phone.

"They sent it online, it's this one," Taehyung passed it Jeongguk who nodded already guessing it would be the closest one to them.

"Get up if you don't want to miss the bus," Jeongguk stood up first, waiting for Taehyung who stared at him with a slightly confused expression, "You know? The thing that-"

"Can't we take a car?"

"You're not driving after a car accident," Jeongguk sternly spoke.

"Can you drive? And I still can get into an accident even if I'm walking because nothings stopping a car from driving into me," Taehyung stood up too, grabbing his pain killers first and his bottle of water.

"Are you sure you wanna get in a car? Don't you have like PTSD now?"

"I don't even remember the accident, it's fine," Taehyung tossed his bottle carelessly onto the bed and yawned, "I don't know whose car it is or where the keys are by the way," he said before stepping into his bathroom and shutting the door behind him.

Jeongguk shook his head and sighed, he decided to search for any car key and just see which one it would unlock. It never failed to surprise him how rich the Kim family was, he often forgot because Taehyung never made it obvious that he was known.

Jeongguk let his fingers run across the expensive furniture as he searched for some keys, sharp eyes mainly taking in the luxury of all the rooms he passed. He detected some hanging beside the front door and picked up a random one.

He made his way upstairs and placed the keys on Taehyung's desk, eyes now stuck on all the books Taehyung had.

Jeongguk had always wondered how Taehyung spent so much time studying, and he felt strangely upset knowing that the new Taehyung will never touch these books Taehyung used to adore.

Stop feeling sorry for him, don't forget what he did. Jeongguk reminded himself and stopped in front of a draw.

flashback.

"Taehyung, you've been writing for hours now can we go to sleep?" Jeongguk let out a frustrated groan, picking up a pillow and chucking it at Taehyung who whined and turned around.

"I told you I can't sleep without journaling first, I hate having bad dreams because of my thoughts," Taehyung huffed and returned to writing in his purple book with a pout on his face.

"You're such a child, no one journals outside of TikTok," Jeongguk stood up and laughed as he walked over to Taehyung, "How does writing even help? Why not talk to someone?" He curiously asked and ran his fingers through Taehyung's brunette hair.

"Like who?"

"Me? Aren't we friends?"

"Yeah but we've only known each other for 2 months, I can't tell you everything yet," Taehyung let out a giggle when Jeongguk looked at him offended, "Ow!" He winced when Jeongguk playfully smacked his head.
