Chapter nineteen.

I'm really bad at the diary entry dates and numbers so I'm gonna stop putting down what entry it is so don't freak out they're hidden 😭😭

1 week and 6 days later.

"Make sure you come straight home if you feel weak okay? And make sure you eat a lot, and drink a lot of water." Mrs. Kim patted the boys uniform who stared past her with a blank expression, "If you're in a lecture and anything feels wrong, you need to tell someone so you can get the hospital quickly incase it's a brain bleed again."

"Okay, I'm gonna go now." Taehyung bluntly replied and pulled away from the woman.

"Are you really gonna walk to uni by yourself? Should I drop you off?" She worriedly asked not liking the idea that Taehyung was by himself.

"I'm meeting Jeongguk before there, I'll be fine." Taehyung began to put his shoes on and leave the woman who was ready to correct his wording.

Jeongguk held onto the purple journal tight as he sat a bench waiting for his friend. It felt strange calling Taehyung that, but he didn't mind it. He felt guilty and wished he hadn't stopped calling him his friend in the first place.

I need to stop reading this. Jeongguk stared at the pages, skipping through the beginning ones and straight to the one when all the drama had started.

I don't understand why people think I'd steal a scholarship. They keep saying I'm born into a rich family and I don't need it, but I didn't want my parents to be the only reason I got into the program. I said that clearly when I applied that my parents won't pay for my fees and that I want a scholarship why isn't anyone believing me? Why do they think I'm just a rich spoiled kid who wants everything???

I don't mind if I don't get the scholarship because my parents will pay for me so I have no reason to change the answer sheet.

I hope Jeongguk doesn't start believing the lies too, I think he already does because of the camera footage but I wasn't swapping answer sheets I was really collecting the right test papers for class. I didn't change them name of anything I was just labelling the test papers.

Jeongguk let out a frustrated sigh. A part of him still wished that Taehyung did actually steal his scholarship so that the immense guilt and regret he felt would go away, but the more he hung out with Taehyung and read the journal the less likely that became.

One more. I won't touch it then. Jeongguk went deep into the book and felt his heart ache at the page he had stopped at and hadn't read before.

I can't believe jeongguk doesn't believe me. I don't know why I hoped he would but it's more sad how different he's acting how. He glares at me when I try speak to him, he swears if I start trying to persuade him and pushes me away if I try to stop him from ignoring.

The other people beating me up is bad but I'd rather them bully me than Jeongguk not believe me. He gets so angry I'm scared he'll start to hit me too and then there would be no chance of going back to what we were.

I don't know how long I can endure this.

Jeongguk slammed the book shut and sucked in a deep breath. He blinked rapidly at the sky to get rid of his tears and faced forward again when he heard his name being called.

"What are you looking?"

"Reading." Jeongguk corrected himself and stood up. He didn't bother answering Taehyung and just pulled him into a tight hug.
