Taehyung stirred awake to the sound of clattering around his room. It took some time to adjust, but once he did he could see Jeongguk putting on his uniform and staring at his reflection in the mirror with exhaustion.

"Oh, we aren't...suspended? Anymore?" Taehyung's raspy voice broke the silence and brought a smile to Jeongguk's face.

"No, sadly." The elder replied and turned around to face the boy while he did his tie up.

It was silent for a bit, eyes just staring at one another with a range of emotions until Taehyung spoke again.

"What happened with your dad and stuff?"

"Nothing, don't worry about it."

Of course. Lie to me like everyone else. Taehyung just bitterly hummed and decided to also start getting ready for university. He dragged his feet to the bathroom and shut the door behind him, letting out a frustrated sigh straight after.

He's definitely catching on. Jeongguk nervously chewed on his lips and continued getting ready. His thoughts continued to circle around Taehyung, guilt chewing him up as he remembered how he had treated the boy and ruined what used to be something beautiful.

Taehyung stepped out of the bathroom with a wet face, "Are my parents home?"

"No, they've gone somewhere work related. I don't know when they'll be back," Jeongguk replied, shamelessly staring at Taehyung who began to get undressed to get changed, "Why? Did you need something?"

Taehyung shook his head and silently walked over to his closet where Jeongguk was, taking out a clean shirt to get changed into. Jeongguk's eyes fell down onto the scars on his arms.

A heavy feeling settled in Jeongguk's chest, the journal entries where Taehyung had gotten worse began to flash in his mind and he could almost hear every thought behind each line. He wanted to comfort Taehyung, whisper sweet words in his ears and tell him it's all okay and nothing was his fault. But, Taehyung no longer remembered anything.

"Stop staring at me." Taehyung snapped the boy out of his thoughts with a wavering voice as if he was about to cry. That made Jeongguk panic.

"What's wrong?" He worriedly grabbed the boy by his arms, lowering them from the tie he was trying to do.

"I-I can't even remember to do my tie," Taehyung broke down into sobs and furiously wiped his face, "I can't remember anything, I feel people are hiding things and I don't know anything."

"Taehyung," Jeongguk softly called out for him and pulled him into a hug, "Nobody is hiding anything, they're just holding things back because you're still recover-"

"I'm fine now!" He yelled out of frustration and pulled away, "Just tell me! I want to know why nobody likes me in uni, why people say such bad things about me, and what I did wrong."

"You did nothing wrong-"

"Then they can't hate me for no reason. I may have forgotten everything but that doesn't make me stupid. I can still feel bad, I can still see what's happening."

Jeongguk sighed and cupped the boys face, using his thumbs to wipe away his tears, "You'll find out soon don't worry, just wait a little and focus on getting better."

Taehyung could only nod as Jeongguk was not going to reveal anything, "I'm gonna stay home."

"I'll stay with-"

"No, you should go." Taehyung sternly spoke.

Jeongguk hummed and decided to go. He wanted to know who had framed Taehyung and played a big role in ruining their lives, "Okay, I'll see you later. Call me if you need anything."

"Okay." Taehyung sniffled and watched the boy walk out with his backpack. He waited silently until he heard the front door which is when he rushed over to the drawers of his desk.

I'm gonna find out. I know this book has something. He pulled out the purple book and pages fell onto the floor as if the universe wanted him to read those specific ones. So, he knelt down onto the floor and slowly began to read.

It was hard at first to make sense of everything, but after some reading aloud and slowly began to get the gist of it.

I dont know how to fix this anymore. Jeongguk doesn't believe me. My life is over now I won't ever be able to be happy, people will always see me as a thief and as the one who stole the scholarship but I never did anything. I should just kill myself but I'll feel bad for leaving my family and jimin behind. Its fine they'll starting acting like everyone else soon anyway. I'm gonna do it next week when dad gives me my car back. I hope no one writes on it, I don't want it to follow me even to my death.

Taehyung stared at the page with wide teary eyes, he felt like he could remember writing the exact page but he couldn't remember any events mentioned in the page. He let out a broken gasp and picked up another page.

i miss jeongguk so much. he's still here but we arent what we used to be. jimin's telling me to stay with him for sometime because he thinks my mental health is getting too bad but i just want to be alone. i feel so alone. jimin keeps trying to cheer me up with childhood memories together but i dont care, i just want jeongguk back. i wish me and him were childhood friends then maybe he'd believe me.

Taehyung put the page down and looked up, he didn't know what he was look up at but he just needed a break from what he was reading.
