Taehyung tapped his thigh with a blank expression on, staring at the white door with the name of his neuropsychologist who should be coming out anytime soon. He was alone, and couldn't figure out why.
He asked Jeongguk to come, but the boy said he had family issues to deal with. Then he attempted to ask his parents only to find out from his sister that the two were sorting out an issue with Jeongguk's dad.
Why won't anyone tell me what it is? Why are they hiding it from me? Taehyung gritted his teeth and stopped tapping his fingers. Instead he furrowed his eyebrows and thought hard. Come on, come on remember. Think hard, come on!
"Kim Taehyung?" A woman called out making him snap out of his thoughts and stand up, "Oh you're alone today, you're usually with your mum."
"Yeah she's busy." Taehyung bitterly mumbled as he made his way over to the chair opposite the woman.
"So, how have you been the past week with all the new tasks and adjustments?" A soft sigh left her as she sat down too and brushed off anything on her white skirt.
"Good, but I still can't remember anything- and I know I won't remember everything but I feel like everyone is hiding something from me which I just want to know." Taehyung spoke in a frustrated tone, picking at his skin on his thumb anxiously, "I keep getting nightmares too which feel so real that they feel like memories."
The neuropsychologist hummed, "Your family was advised to not reveal things suddenly because you might not be ready to-"
"I think I'm ready. All I think about is what they could be hiding from me! Everyone acts so secretive and careful around me which they think I don't notice because of the accident but I know somethings wrong." The annoyance in the boys voice grew stronger making the other hum.
"Well, what about these nightmares that feel like memories? Memories do tend to show up in dreams but might be inaccurate.
Taehyung shuffled uncomfortably, "It's just the same thing but with different people, I'm in uni and people are calling me a thief and beating me? I thought it was fake but I read some old texts and everything seems to match up."
"Oh, that must be really hard to deal with," As expected the woman began her speech that was supposed to be comforting for Taehyung.
Taehyung zoned it out completely, staring at the notepad sat on her lap with a blank expression. I wonder what the family issue Jeongguk's having is. Why would he hide it if we're best friends who tell each other everything?
Jeongguk stood behind Mr. Kim, staring at his father with a disgusted look as the man watched the video playing on his phone.
"Okay? It's just a video of Taehyung? Seems like he made a lot of trips to change things inside that day," Mr. Jeon scoffed, chucking the phone onto the table below him.
Mrs. Kim opened her mouth to speak, "He-"
"Look, I know you're trying to defend your son and I'd do the same thing if it was Jeongguk, but I'd also accept the fact my son was wrong. Just because you have another video of Taehyung in the storage room doesn't mean he's innocent- he could've just deleted the video to make it look less planned." Mrs. Jeon spoke receiving a nod of approval from her husband.
"Mum, in the video he's just writing down the names of the class test papers so that it's separate from the scholarship ones. He's not changing our names around." Jeongguk crossed his arms and gritted his teeth when he saw the glare his father shot him.
"Well then who did? Did you find the video of the original person? Or are you so in love with this boy that you took one video and built a whole story around it to live in a delusional world?" Mr. Jeon raised his eyebrows.
