Felix laid in bed with his fake stuffed animals tinto his pillow. His face was still burning red from actually speaking to Chan.
I can't believe the first thing I've said in years was thank you instead of a curse word. I can't believe I cried again in front of him. And I CAN'T BELIEVE I STUTTERED. T-T-T-Thank- NOOOO.
Felix let out an embarrassed groan as the moment kept on playing in his head. Not to mention his voice was way deeper than he remembered. If he really tried he could probably sound like a villain type deep. Maybe it scared Chan but he just didn't say anything. Felix sighed and got up from the bed to change into the pajamas he had worn the day before. Maybe it was stress but he felt thirsty so he went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water.
Felix went to turn on the kitchen light and too his surprise Chan was standing by the counter, casually sipping a glass of water in the dark. The two shared eye contact with each other, their expressions both confused.
"I thought you were going to sleep?" Chan raised a brown putting the glass down.
"Why are you standing in the dark?"
"How about we both don't question it?" Chan laughed getting a glass and filling it with water from the fridge assuming that was what Felix wanted. Felix walked over to the male and took the glass, bowing his head slightly as a thank you. It was silent for a bit, the only thing heard were sips coming from the both of them.
"Couldn't sleep." Chan asked making Felix blush.
How could I after the stuttering mess I just was?
Felix simply shook his head.
"Whats with the blushing?" Chan said bending down a bit in an attempt to catch Felix eyes but the male continued to avoid them.
"I'm embarrassed. I wasn't expecting to talk like that. Sorry if I sounded weird." Felix signed continuing to look away.
"Please don't apologize! The fact that you spoke was enough for me to feel accomplished as your therapist! Your voice is very unique and I can't wait to hear more of it. So if you can please speak as much as you can with me." Chan encouraged making Felix finally look up at him.
"You are too nice to me. Helping me with speech, letting me stay at your house, now cheering me up in the middle of the night like this."
"I already told you, you're my favorite patient. Not to mention I'm enjoying your company. It gets lonely in this apartment so it's been nice to have someone around." Chan smiled making Felix do the same back.
"Wanna sit and talk for a bit?" Chan suggested. Felix nodded and they went to sit on the couch, enjoying sips of water and sharing stories.
"So you're telling me, that when you were in college you were a music major? You wanted to produce music?" Felix couldn't help but laugh loudly at this information. The thought of Chan in a studio rapping into a mic was funny for his mature appearance.
"Hey if you're gonna bully me u have to audibly say it out loud or else I won't feel threatened." Chan puffed out his cheeks jokingly. Felix smirked and scooted over closer so his and Chan thighs were touching. He looked straight up into the males eyes with confidence.
"Y-You a Ner-rd" Felix spoke in a quieter voice than he thought but there was nobody else but him and Chan in the room so the male could hear. Chan gasped and laughed a bit. He wasn't expecting the confidence from Felix this late at night. He definitely wasn't expecting him to speak again so early on. He's never seen such progress with a patient before.
"I can't even be mad at you. That's five words today! And you even stuttered less! Your articulation in amazing for someone that hasn't spoken in four years. If we get you talking a bit more everything will sort itself out on its own." Chan rambled on.
"Your therapist side just came out." Felix signed snapping Chan out of his thoughts.
"Sorry. You're just an interesting case." Chan laughed. "It looks like you won't need me for long." Chan shrugged. Felix quickly shook his head feeling a little panicked at the thought of the first person he's felt so comfortable to could be ripped away from him.
"Not anytime soon don't worry! We should get to bed now. Good night Felix." Chan said putting his cup down and standing up. Felix did the same and waved to Chan before walking away.
"Wait! My good night hug!" Chan joked not expecting to see Felix run over to his pull him into a tight hug. He hugged him as if Chan would melt out of his grasp if he didn't hold on tight enough. Chan of course hugged back, wrapping his warmth around Felix. It felt so right yet wrong. His mind told him to let go but his heartbeat said otherwise. Felix pulled away from the passionate hug slowly, looking up the Chan with a small smile before walking back to his room.
A/n: too slowburn? I was gonna make em make out but I had to control myself!
