I was just about to start reading, when my phone buzzed... hell..!!! it was already 3 a.m. then.... the screen flashed... 'Mayukh calling...' "hello" I replied veiling the excitement I was going through..!!! "you weren't sleeping.!!!" he exclaimed but I snapped.. "neither did you...".. "you have office tomorrow Hiyu..." "so do you have.. too..." we smiled... yes.. I could feel him smile... weird na??? So it is... "Mayukh...." "hmm..." "you miss me???" and then slapped myself for such a idiotic question..!!! gosh..!!! just those scribbles.. and I was expecting he would miss me!!! Stupid me..!! that was some 3 years back.. now he has left..!!!

"what do you want me to answer...???" he teased me.. "its quarter to 3 Mayukh.... sleep... good night...!!!!" I was about to hang the call.. but.. "so eager to meet Rangon..!!! ya ya... good night...." he taunted me.. "why did you call me..????" I raged..!!! why does he always say that..!!! "what the hell do you think of me haan??? Listen Mayukh... I was never in love with anyone... but was ready to fall for my husband.. but those vague allegations you put against me... its better you tell your family the reason behind our marriage and lets separate...!!!!" I gasped... "you want to get rid of me???" his voice shook...!!! what the hell...!!! he insults me every time... and blames me for the consequences..!!! "if you keep insulting me like this..!!! I will have to... that would be best... for both of us...!!!!" I chipped in anger... but.. "I am your husband Hiyu.. I have the right to.. say you anything..!!!!" he almost cried.. is he sick..??? just because he is my husband that does not mean he has the right to say.. just anything..!!! "okay okay... I am sorry for my words.. as I love you... I can compensate..!!!" he chipped again...!!! "to hell with your compensation.. !!!" I hung up the call...

Tears brimmed and streamed down.. I didn't feel like reading those scribbles anymore..!!! why Mayukh..!! why,..??? why do you always do this to me??? The stacked those pages back to cupboard and pulled the quilt..

Next day...in office, I did everything to shoo away his thoughts.. his words..but alas..!!! I could not...!!! but.. wait a sec.. shit..!!! why didn't this strike me before... how did he know Rangon was boyfriend at college... for that day... he came to lab after I had beat Rangon..!!! gosh..!!! "Rangon... need to talk to you...." I barged into his cabin just to witness the sweet couple romancing... Trisha was leaning with her back on the window, and a coffee mug in her hand... Rangon was holding her by waist and sipping from the mug... "aahh... I am sorry.. catch you later..." I smiled and was about to leave.. when Trisha.. "Its okay Hiya.. join us..." she came to me breaking their embrace... "Hiya... for god sake...now atleast you should know the importance of privacy..!!! after all you are newly married.!!!" Rangon faked a disgust... followed be a wink...!! huh..!!! I wouldn't need that privacy my dear friend..!! never...!! my husband is just busy revenging..!!! I fought hard and finally succeeded in stopping my tears..!! but Rangon and Trisha both sensed something....

Mayukh was never the same friendly happy-go- lucky type lecturer anymore... he just came to class, taught us, and left.. no quizzes.. no test... nothing.. he never smiled.!!! then, I could not connect that your absence and his arrogance were connected.. but now I feel..."..
