Alex's POV:
I was proud of what I did. Darryl deserved the crown and the role of king, not me. Together, we turned towards the crowd, bowing as they cheered at their new king. "King Darryl!" they exclaimed, some jumping up in the air.
Darryls POV:
I was happy I was crowned king and I think everyone else was too. Well, . . . most. I giggled at the thought of Jschlatt. Later that night, I was sitting on my bed, the room filled with silence.
Soon, I'd be moved to the Master bedroom where I would sleep till I died.
I had given permission for Zak to stay in the castle too. My crown sat on a silk, white pillow on a small table. I stared at it as it shimmered in the light that came from the bulb above me.
Suddenly, a knock on my door interrupted the silence. I stood up, walking over to the door and opening it. There stood Zak. "Congrats, Darryl!" Zak squeaked in a rather happy tone.
I smiled. "Thank you, Zak!" "I knew that bastard would lose his crown, one way or another," Zak said. I chuckled. "Thanks for bringing the guards over before Jschlatt could tackle me to the ground," I said.
"It's no problem! It's my job as your best friend!" "Well, I better be your best friend at least! I'm awesome!" Zak exclaimed. "Yes, Zak, you're my best friend. I cannot think of anyone that could replace you." "Yay! Also, I have an idea now that you're king," Zak said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Why don't we throw a little party in celebration of you being crowned king! I'm sure Ant, Velvet, Nikki, and Jack would love to hear that you've gotten the crown you rightfully deserved since the day you were born!"
"Thanks, Zak! Also, you have a great idea! We could host a party!" I say.
"Mhm, how about you plan for that, Darryl, or should I say, King Darryl," Zak says, bowing.
I giggled once more before saying, "Darryl is fine, Zak. I don't really care about being labeled as 'king'." "Alright, Darryl, well you better get some sleep. I will definitely not let you forget the party idea! So get ready to deal with an annoying 23 year old tomorrow!"
I laughed. "Okay, goodnight, Zak."
"Goodnight!"
