Darryls POV:
It's been four months since the incident with Lucas. Those four months have been great. We hadn't run into any new problems which made these four months peaceful. I was just about to make these months better . . .
"Zak!" I called out from my room as I rummaged through one of my bedside drawers. "Yeah?" "Can you come here, please. I have a surprise!" I say, pulling out a black blindfold from the drawer. Zak burst through the master doors. "A surprise! Where?!" he exclaimed with joy. Zak was always the type who enjoyed surprises.
I turned around to face him. "It's not in here, but If you let me put this blindfold on you, I can bring you to the surprise and show you," I say. "Okay!" Zak exclaimed, running over to me.
"Put it on already! I wanna see the surprise!" "I will! I will! Someone's eager," I responded. "What? I like surprises!" "I know, Zak. I know."
Over those four months, I had requested something. I had requested for the Diamond kingdom to be re-built. I had to keep Zak away from the Diamond kingdom, though. He'd see it if I hadn't! That wasn't the only surprise though. I had an even better one coming!
"Okay, Zak, you can take off your blindfold now," I say. As soon as I said that, Zak yanked off the blindfold. He gasped in awe. The entire Diamond kingdom's castle had been re-built to its original form.
It was built with the same light gray bricks and silver slate roofs. Its blue flag was good as new and the plants started to re-grow. You could see furniture inside the castle through the newly-put glass windows.
The Diamond kingdom castle and Blaze kingdom castle had been interconnected. That was the only change made. Life was even starting to spark inside the Willow tree too!
"You . . . you got it re-built?" Zak asked, looking back up at me. "Mhm." That was when excitement took over Zak. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" he cried, squealing with joy. Zak hugged me and I hugged back. As we pulled away from the embrace, he asked me a question.
"Darryl, this is great and all, but . . . who's going to live in it? There is no one left of my kind." "That's where you're wrong," I replied. "What do you mean?"
"I have another surprise, Zak."
