Darryls POV:
"You have another surprise?" Zak asked, puzzled. I nodded. "Turn around, Zak," I said with a warm smile, looking over his shoulder, behind him. When Zak turned around, he gasped. "I- I-" Zak was at a loss for words.
In front of him was Mrs.Windward. And behind her was Zak's family, friends, and kingdom, . . . all alive. "B-but how?!" Zak exclaimed. "I thought Mrs. Windward didn't have enough power to do this!" "Well, let's just say she figured it out," I responded. Mrs. Ahmed stepped forward, opening her arms.
Zak rushed into them, hugging his mother as he cried tears of joy. Mr. Ahmed walked behind Zak, hugging him from behind. Mrs and Mr. Ahmed was Zak's parents. They were technically the former king and queen of the Diamond kingdom now. They didn't seem to mind, though.
Mrs. Ahmed had long, black hair that cascaded down her back, diamond blue eyes, with limestone colored skin. She had on a pearl necklace, silk white gloves, shiny white heels, and a blue cocktail dress, the rims covered in jewels.
Mr. Ahmed had dark brown hair, brown eyes, and also had limestone colored skin. His outfit was also fancy. They both had on a crown that shone in the sunlight. They both also had fairy ears and a tail made of diamonds.
I could ask Mrs. Windward to bring my parents back for good, but . . . I think it's best they stay in the afterlife.
Zak looked up at his mother. "It's been so long since I have seen you, my darling!" Mrs. Ahmed had said, squeezing Zak's cheeks. Zak giggled loudly. I called Zak's mother Mrs. Ahmed and his father Mr. Ahmed while the others would call them Former Queen Heera and Former King Micah.
"You've gotten so big!" Mrs. Ahmed exclaimed. "And you haven't changed one bit!" "Well, me and your father have gotten older," she said. That was when Mr. Ahmed spoke. "Darryl told us everything. We're proud of you, Zak."
"You're wings . . . ," Zak's mother spoke, frowning, looking down at Zak's wingless back. "They never grew back?" she asked, looking back up at Zak. Zak shook his head. Mrs. Windward seemed to notice the change of mood. "If you would like, I can make you a potion that would allow your wings to re-grow," she offered. Zak's face lit up. "Really!?" he exclaimed.
Mrs. Windward nodded. Zak gasped before running up to Mrs. Windward, hugging her. Mrs. Windward hugged back. When the two separated, Mrs. Windward spoke. "Here, I'll go brew the potion up now. It should be done soon," she said. Zak smiled before saying, "Okay, thank you so much!" "You're welcome."
Mrs. Windward then walked off. About 7 minutes later, she came back with a bottle of elixir in her hands. She handed it to Zak. "Your wings should grow back in a few months with this potion," Mrs. Windward said. Zak thanked her once more before drinking the mixture, handing Mrs. Winward the elixir bottle back.
I smiled and so did the others.
I walked over to Mrs. Windward. "Thank you," I say. She smiled. "You're welcome, King Darryl." Mrs. Windward was old, but a wise lady. "I'm glad to see the Diamond kingdom back to how it was 15 years ago," she added with a warm smile.
"Me too." I looked over to Zak who was now hugging his father. His tears had dried onto his cheeks by now. His father looked down at him then up at me. He mouthed the words, "Thank you."
