"Can you please go buy me a morning after pill on your way here?" I was on the phone with Chloe. She didn't arrive yet, which was weird because most of the times she was the first to arrive but it was perfect in this situation because I needed her help.
"Sure" she said, I could hear her grab some things. "Wait, why though? Who did you sleep with?" She asked confused. "Lando obviously but we forgot the condom" I said a little bit more quiet. I was walking through the paddock and I didn't want anyone to hear this. Especially because it was a lie.
I didn't have the guts to tell him that I didn't want another baby, so I decided to go on birth control again without telling Lando.
It would give me a little time to tell him and to focus on my job.
I walked in the Red Bull hospitality. Luna was with Lando's parents and Lando went to the track early so I also expected to see Max here already but he wasn't.
For the first time in a while, I sat down on a table, alone. No Chloe and no Max.
"Skye, good to see you. I hope you're ready for today? I hope Luna wasn't awake too early so you actually had a nice sleep" Christian walked up to me. Luna actually was an angel, she slept until we woke up so she wasn't the reason I had dark circles under my eyes.
It was Lando. We've had sex so many times, I guess he wanted to get me pregnant fast.
"Luna slept through the night so I can't complain" I smiled. Luna definitely was a Mclaren and Red Bull baby. Since the day she was born, both teams sent her a lot of gifts.
He chuckled a little until he saw Max walking inside. He clearly wasn't happy about him being late.
Not much later, Chloe walked in as well. I raised my eyebrow as she was walking to me.
She gave me the little bag she was carrying and winked at me.
"You can thank me later, I am already way too late" she said as she walked passed me and waved a little.
I quickly put the bag away and looked at Max. They both had a glow that I recognized.
They were definitely hooking up. I had to ask them about it later.

Christian was showing me everything I needed to know. "We've prepared our strategy before the race but we need to adapt on it during the race as well" he pointed at the screen that showed Max's tires. He was leading the race by a mile but his tires were almost completely gone. "We have to call him in even though we didn't plan this at all" he said and seconds later GP asked him to box.
GP was Max's engineer for years now, they worked together extremely well.
"Lando will overtake him though" I pointed out. Lando was driving in second place and his pace was amazing. He was so strong at this track. Christian nodded his head. "Yes he will, but we have to trust that Max can overtake him on fresher tires" it was so weird to plan a strategy for Max to overtake Lando because I actually didn't want that at all. I wanted Lando to win.
"And that's P1. Great job mate" GP said as Max crossed the finish line.
Lando had to box as well a couple of laps later so Max didn't even need to overtake him. Lando ended in P2, which was good too.
"Next week it's all on you Skye, but we trust you" Christian said as he took his headphones off.
I could feel the nerves already. It was Max's home Grand Prix next week, so I definitely didn't want to fuck that up.
I was waiting for Max and Chloe to return to the hospitality, so I was just standing in front of it. I wanted to ask them to go to dinner with Lando and I. But it wasn't them who was walking over to me, it was Lando. He grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him. I could feel his lips against mine a second later. "A quickie?" He mumbled. Fuck, my birth control wasn't working just yet.
"I am waiting for Max and Chloe baby" I mumbled too but I guess he wasn't taking no for an answer. "Then we have a little time" he said as he pulled me with him. "Lando, I am not in the mood" I hit him with his name, which we only used when we were mad or serious about something.
"Oh okay, so where is Luna?" He quickly changed the subject.
"With your parents still, they're giving us a night alone so I thought we could maybe invite Chloe and Max to dinner?" I wanted to see how they acted around each other and I also didn't want to be alone with Lando.
"Sure, I'll go change and I will meet you guys here" he pressed his lips quickly against mine and walked back to his hospitality.
I sighed, I dodged a bullet here, but how many times was I gonna be able to dodge it?
