How could he not remember me? Not remember us? Did he just forget the past two years or did he only forget me?
He didn't stop me, he just let me walk out. I was devastated, this was worse than I imagined. I was glad he was fine, but I lost him, in the worst way possible.

It was already late when I walked back in the paddock. Sophie texted me that they were still in the hospitality.
I walked in and they immediately looked up as they saw me walking in. A lot of mechanics stayed too, they all wanted to know if Lando was fine.
"He's fine, he just has a lot of back and neck pain" I smiled as I picked Luna up. I kissed her cheek a couple of times. "Daddy is fine" I whispered and she started to clap her hands.
I decided to leave out the part where he couldn't remember who I was and probably couldn't remember who she was either.
"Can I talk to you for a second?" I looked at Max. He nodded but I could see he was confused.
Sophie grabbed Luna and I walked with Max outside.
I broke down, I just started crying. "What happened? I thought he was fine? He's been texting me and it looks as if he's fine right?" Max looked at me. I shook my head. He wasn't fine.
"He doesn't remember Max, he forgot everything about Luna and I" I felt so stupid for crying, we broke up so I lost him either way but how was I supposed to act as if we never happened? As if we didn't share so many years together?
"What?" Max frowned. He didn't believe me, or he couldn't believe it either.
"Can you please talk to him? Try to make him remember?" I asked but I knew I had to make him remember. I knew I had to fight for this.

————————

I cried myself to sleep that night. But I couldn't give up now.
I had to postpone flying to Brazil, Lando was released, the doctors told him he had to rest so I decided to pay him a visit.
He must still be in his hotel room because he couldn't fly yet.
I wore the dress he liked and straightened my hair, just as he liked it.
I was even more nervous now then I was yesterday. I knew what to expect now and for some reason that was even scarier than not knowing.
He opened the door and looked at me. His eyes traveled over my body. "Skye" he said. Did he remember me? Probably not, I told him my name yesterday so he only remembered that.
"Lando, can I come in?" I smiled. Please, remember my smile, you always told me you loved my smile.
He took a step back and nodded.

I sat down on the edge of his bed. "How are you?" I asked as he closed the door and turned around. "Still in pain, but it could be worse" he smiled. He didn't realize it couldn't get worse.
"No, it couldn't be worse. You forgot everything about us. Everything we went through. You were the only one who completely understood how many times we've been through hell, how much we had to fight for our relationship.
I can't lose you Lando, please fucking remember" I blurted it all out. A little unexpected to say the least, I could see that in his eyes as well.
He didn't respond. "I am the girl that streamed on Twitch. I am the girl that smashed your Miami trophy to the ground years ago, you still hate me for that even though you'll never admit it. I am the girl you married, I am the girl who gave you a little girl" I sighed a little as I started fiddling with my ring.
"You're the guy that gave back my confidence, just by believing in me.
You're the guy who would do silly things just to make me smile. I love you for that even though I'll never admit it.
You're the guy who would pull me back when I was trying to leave.
You're the guy I married, you're the guy who gave me my little princess." I got up and brushed my hand against his. "I love you Lando" I said softly but he didn't say anything.
Why wasn't he responding? Maybe because he actually couldn't remember anything.
I shrugged my shoulders and walked to the door, this was the second time I was walking out and he wasn't stopping me, again.
