I woke up next to Skye. I still remembered everything from last night but I wasn't sure if she would remember it too.
Should I cuddle her? Kiss her? It's all I wanted right now but she said she wanted one more night and that's exactly what we had.
I grabbed my phone and looked at the time. Fuck, we forgot to set an alarm and we were late, way too late.
"Skye, we need to go" I said as I sat on the edge of the bed and grabbed my pants. I could hear her groan a bit. She must have such an hangover right now.
In normal circumstances I would've kissed her until she woke up but I didn't really know what to do now.
"Skye!" I said a little louder, she would be in so much trouble if she didn't get up now.
"Two more minutes Max" she mumbled. Max? Did she really think she had sex with Max last night? Did she really call me Max right now? Fuck, I knew this would be a mistake.
"It's Lando by the way" I chuckled as I got up and grabbed my shirt.
That definitely woke her up. She quickly looked at me, she squinted her eyes a little. She was definitely hungover right now, but I couldn't care less.
"Wait Lando" she said as she wanted to grab my arm but I shook my head.
I was done with her games, I was done fighting for her. It was time to move on, time to let her go for real.
"I will send you the paperwork for our divorce so you can have fun with Verstappen" I grabbed the rest of my stuff and walked out.
I should've listened to my head instead of my fucking broken heart. There was nothing left of it anymore so everything would be easier from now on.
Sophie and Max were already having breakfast with Luna. They both looked confused as I walked in. "Shouldn't you be at the paddock already?" Max said. I nodded annoyed and kissed Luna's head softly. "Can you guys take her to the paddock? I have no time and Skye is late as well" they both nodded with a smile on their face. They probably thought we got back together but they couldn't be more wrong.
"Bye princess" I waved at Luna and rushed out.

I was just in time for the practices, Zak wasn't pleased to say the least but I had bigger worries right now.
I walked in the media pen with my PR manager and right when I thought things couldn't get any worse, the universe proved me wrong.
"Hi Maya" I said as I walked to Sky Sports. She was back, she left for a couple of years but I guess they took her back. "Hi Lando, good to see you again" she said with a smile. No, it wasn't good to see her again. I just answered her questions professionally and got out of there as soon as I could.
"Hi mate, Maya is back huh?" Max walked next to me as we were leaving the media pit. "Oh piss off" he was the last person I wanted to talk to right now. "I guess you didn't have a good night?" He just chuckled. Was he happy about that or something? "My night was amazing, my morning put me back on earth" I said as I kept walking. I didn't want to cause problems in the paddock.
"Why? What happened?" He asked as he kept following me. The nerves on this guy.
"Honestly, you probably could have any girl you want but instead you decide to fuck around with my girl?" His face changed as soon as I said that. It proved what I already suspected.
"Wait.." he said as he wanted to follow me. "Fuck off man" I raised my voice.
Imani put her hand on my back as she guided me to my hospitality. I don't know why she was here all of a sudden but for once I was grateful she was here.
"He's not worth it" she whispered as we walked to my drivers room.
We both sat down on the couch, I put my head in my hands and Imani put her hand on my leg. "You want to be alone or do you want me to stay?" She asked softly.
I didn't have the feeling that she wanted something from me, she just wanted to be there for me. I guess she really changed over the years.
"You can stay, thanks for being here" I looked at her and smiled.
Maybe it was a good thing that she said the wrong name. It closed a door that I thought was still open.
