Skye's POV
Fuck I made such a mistake. I obviously knew it wasn't Max who I had sex with last night, but I don't know why I called him Max. Maybe because I've been hearing his name so much lately. I worked with Max so everywhere I looked was his name.
It wasn't anything more but Lando left me no chance to explain myself.
I sat in the hospitality after the practices, my head was killing me. Fucking tequila, why did I drink so much yesterday?
Max walked in the hospitality or should I say, stormed in. "What's wrong with your ex?" He said as he leaned on my table. Him and Lando used to be good friends, I knew Max really liked him.
"What do you mean?" I obviously knew what he meant. "He told me to fuck off and that I fucked around with you?" He raised his eyebrow, waiting for an explanation.
I pointed at the chair in front of me. "We had sex last night and I said your name instead of his" I explained as he sat down. "During sex?" He said a little bit more quietly. I shook my head. "No, this morning" he shook his head, probably in disappointment. "That explains a lot" he just said before getting up and walking to his drivers room.
Did I misread all the signals? Maybe he didn't like me but why did he tell Charles that he did?
I finished everything I needed to do as soon as possible, I just wanted to get out of here. I wanted to be alone and rethink everything.
"So I've heard Max and Lando got in a bit of a fight?" Chloe said as we were walking to the exit. "Just a bit of an argument I guess" I said as I shrugged my shoulders. News travelled fast in this paddock. "Why? I thought they were friends?" I sighed. "Who knows" I obviously knew but I wasn't ready to tell her, I guess I wasn't ready to admit my mistake.
"Maya is back by the way" Chloe said casually as if it wasn't a big deal but she knew it was a big deal for me. "Since when?" I looked at her. "Today were her first interviews" Fuck, so Lando already saw her and had to talk to her. As if his day couldn't get worse.
"Skye wait please" someone said just as I wanted to leave. I turned around and saw Jon running up to me. "I'm so sorry Skye" he said as he put some papers in my hand and walked away.
Chloe titled her head. "What are those?" she asked while I was looking down at them. "Our divorce papers and he signed them" I said softly. I already expected them, but it still hurt to see them, to see his signature.
He was ready to move on right when I wanted to hold on. "I'm sorry" Chloe whispered as she wrapped her arms around me.

I fell in my bed as soon as I walked in my hotelroom. I was still holding the papers. He didn't even had the balls to give them to me himself, instead he asked Jon to bring them.
I was angry, sad, heartbroken. I experienced everything at the same time.
I got up and walked out of my room. I didn't want to be alone right now, maybe it was the stupidest idea ever but I wasn't thinking straight at all.
I was still holding the divorce papers in my hand as I walked to his room. I knocked on his door. I had tears in my eyes and all over my cheek. I was such a mess, a complete mess and it was my fault. It was all my fault.
Why did I ever tell him that he wasn't good enough? It was stupid because he was more than enough, he was the love of my life but I wanted him to fight for me, I wanted him to prove to me that he loved me.
The door opened and I just froze. "What are you doing here?"
