"So you wanna be friends with Lexi again?" Lando asked as he was laying in bed. He promised to stay awake until I returned and that's exactly what he did.
I shrugged my shoulders as I was crawling into bed. "Do you think it's a dumb idea?" I asked.
He wrapped his arms around me, stroking my back softly.
"She did a lot of dumb shit, but that's ages ago" Lando said. "Just don't trust her immediately okay?" I knew he just wanted to look out for me.
I kissed his chest softly, I couldn't explain how much I love him.
"Of course baby" I said as I looked up to him and smiled.
And in that moment I realized I was so in love with him that I wanted to give him everything. This championship win, all my love and even more.
"Do you want to try for another baby?" I blurted out. I didn't think about it, didn't think it through - it just felt natural.
Lando looked at me, he wasn't smiling, he just titled his head. Probably in disbelief.
"Are you sure? You just started a new job and you said you wanted to concentrate on that?" he was right, a few months ago I was breaking up with him because he wanted another one and now I was asking him if he was ready for it. He must be so confused right now.
But I wanted to give him everything.
I nodded. "I want you to be happy and I know how bad you want it" I said as I crawled on top of him. I started kissing his body, his chest, his neck, every little spot he liked to be kissed at.
His hands travelled over my body as he let out soft moans. As I was about to take his underwear off, he stopped me by grabbing my hands softly.
"I know I want this, but do you want this?" he looked at me. I wanted this because he wanted this - but that wasn't a good reason at all.
I guess I took too long to reply because he chuckled a little as he grabbed a condom out of the nightstand.
He pulled me under him and looked down at me. "Don't worry baby, we will stay in free practice until you're ready for it" he mumbled against my neck as he kissed it a few times. I was so grateful for him. He was right, I wasn't doing this for the right reasons. We both had to be completely ready for it.

"We need to get the cars on track right now" Lando's engineer was looking at me while we were sitting on the pitwall. Both cars got into Q3, but I wanted to wait as long as possible because we only had one set of soft tires left.
I wanted the track to be as ready as possible. I put my hand up to him, telling him to wait a little longer. They had to trust me, I knew what I was doing.
I saw how everyone was starting to get nervous. "What are we waiting for?" Lando asked through the radio. He wasn't asking me, he was asking his engineer. "We're waiting for Skye" Okay if I got this wrong, I knew I would get the full blame. "Okay copy"
I pressed the button to communicate to their engineers. "Okay let's get them out" I said and they immediately drove out of the garage.
I was fiddling with my ring as I looked at their times, but especially Lando's. He needed to be on pole, I wanted him to be on pole. I think I didn't blink for an entire lap.
We all held our breath as he crossed the finish line. "Give me a moment Lando" his engineers said through the radio. We had to wait for Max to cross the finish line, he probably waited for Lando to get out of the garage before he exited his garage, so he was doing his fast lap right behind Lando.
"And that's pole!" His engineer told Lando before nodding at me. "Yeah baby!" Lando yelled. "Skye, you're the best strategist in the world"
I looked at his engineer with a smirk on my face, who just returned it by rolling his eyes and laughing.
We were definitely ready for tomorrow's race.
