Mona's POV
Chapter 2: For A Better Day
Five days after the incident...
This was it, my one-way ticket to despair. As the days go on, I'm wearing a black dress that Grace hat to let me borrow, and, have a white blossoming flower in my curly, tied-up hair as I stood in front of the mirror. I stared at myself without crying or being able to move. Pogie, who whimpers by my side, can see that something is wrong. I keep having nightmares about that night.

That Night of the Incident
Mona supports Bingo as he walks while leaning on her for assistance as they exit the forest and return to the celebration. Tarni, who has blood on her elegant outfit, is being held close by Jordan as he walks slowly.
Everything seemed to be moving slowly. I was unable to think or breathe. I felt cold.
All the students notice them emerging from the forest, and Mona examines the scene. As everyone starts running in their direction, the party's music stops.
~~~
Grace, who takes Mona to the funeral, wearing a black and white jumpsuit and straightened hair, glances at Mona as she looks out the window.
I felt like I had no chance and was horrible for not talking to her. The radio softly plays 'Every Breath You Take by The Police.' It was Tarni's favorite song. When it played at the shops or even on the bus, we used to sing along.
~~~
Everyone watches in fear, disbelief, and despair as Jordan lowers her to the ground. Students gathered around as some began to sob. When Cooper and a few other boys arrive to help Bingo inside, Mona releases him.
Taking a cell phone, Jordan dials Emergency Services. Everyone gathers nearby to gaze upon Tarni.
