Summary: Living in New York City, 18-year-old Mona Washington, a musician with a bright heart and a bright future, is a new term away and just a few weeks away from high school, ready to graduate. When her best friend, Tarni McGavin, is brutally murdered, Mona won't just sit by and wait for an explanation. She will go to any lengths, with the aid of her closest buddy, a little help from others, and a special visitor, to discover who among them killed her.
