Chapter 11: Beauty Swallows Pain

"Wow, you've had a lot happen to you. It must have been difficult to figure out that people you know were behind this."

The councilwoman shifts in her seat, biting her lip, and casting a sad glance to the ground in front of her. Mona gives a little shrug and shakes her leg. "You have no idea. Bingo was certainly most of our concerns. Still, the primary cause of our concern was learning that Abby's father is a dangerous Maffia leader who is targeting you and those you love."

The counselor straightens her posture. "What about the Art Gallery? What happened on that day, Mona?" Mona shook her head and choked back her words.

"Trouble."

~~~
It is 10.30 a.m. on a Sunday, and the sun has risen above Jordan's house. Mona is in Jordan's bedroom, lying on the bed with a black bra and black underpants. Her skin glows from Jordan's bedroom window, and her hair is untidy. She wipes her eyes as she gradually awakens. Jordan, who is still sleeping, is seen without a shirt. She turns to face him, still smelling the strong scent of the cologne he wore the previous evening.
At that moment, I didn't realize what was a dream and what was real. The fact that I just had sex with one of the most so-called hottest guys in my school, or nearly got fucking killed by a white van in a car pursuit.
"Morning gorgeous. How do you feel?" Jordan says softly as he turns over to face her.
 "I. I don't know. I feel, all over the place." He gives her a bear hug and kisses her on the head. "Just can't believe what happened last night," As Jordan lightly brushes Mona's skin with his nails, he twists his head in his pillow in a perplexed manner. "You mean last night with us, you know? Or, about the other thing?" Mona scowls.
"The other thing."
She gives him a gentle slap across the chest. Jordan lets out a cry of realization. "Oh, I see." Mona quickly gets up, reaching over for the top she borrowed from Jordan. "I forgot the Art expo is today. I don't know what came over me last night. But we can't let this or distractions get in the way of our case." Jordan nods disapointedly but understandingly. "I understand."
 The knob on Jordan's bedroom door begins to revolve and twist. They turn and glance quickly at the door. "Shit!" Jordan yells. "Jordan? Why are there bullet marks on your car?" They are seen in bed together, half-naked, when John opens the door wide, wearing his police uniform.
"Oh for God's sake!"
John turns away while shaking his head. "Hey there, Dad. I can you explain." Mona blushes with shame. Jordan begins to get out of bed while still wearing nothing but a pillow to cover his front gentiles. He trips and collapses. "Ow." As Mona grits her teeth at him as he yelps.
