Chapter 17: Hallucinations

A Few Months Before Tarni's Death and Incidents...

Above Bingo's home, the sunrise shimmers. Walking down the empty, clear hallway brings you to a bedroom with burnt orange painted walls and posters of Johnny Hates and his various albums.  A wooden record player and record crate were in the room, next to the bed. A polled, cream-colored antique bed with white sheets that featured images of blooming flowers was in the room's corner. Wooden cabinets that lined the walls contained stuffed animals and various dolls in adorable outfits.

A young 10-year-old girl, dressed in light blue silk short-sleeve pajamas and with dark chocolate brown bobbed hair and tanned skin, sits up in bed while listening to her tape recorder through tiny wired headphones. She is reading a book while listening to "Shattered Dreams" by Johnny Hates, keeping herself busy and distracted.

An unidentified individual standing inside her room gazes at her. She finally turns to face the approaching person. "Suprise!" She's taken aback when Bingo starts tickling her. The young child starts giggling and moving around. "Bingo! Stop! I am ticklish!" As he sits on her bed, Bingo laughs. She removes her headphones, placing them beside her along with her book.

"Happy Birthday kiddo. I got you a little something."

Bingo reached into his jean jacket as the young child grinned brightly. He chuckled as he pulled a cartoonish, stuffed fox head out of his jacket. Bingo's sister gasps excitedly.  "A fox!" Bingo chuckles as he takes the fox out and begins to play with it as if it were a talking toy. He speaks in a lower voice.

"Hello, my name is Mr. Fox. I'm trying to find some friends. Do you want to be my friend?"

She retrieves the toy and gives it a bear hug. Of course, Mr. Fox, I'll be your friend. Best friends forever." Along with his eyes, Bingo smiles. "Thank you, Bingo. I'll look after him well."

Bingo nods. "I know you will Jess, and I am sure he will take care of you too." Jessica giggled. She starts to cough uncontrollably and frowns. In a worried reaction, Bingo reaches out to her. "Woah, Jessica? You're still not well." Bingo frowns as he feels her head. "You feel a little warm." Jessica shrugs sickly. "I still have a headache." Bingo sighs. "Let's get you some medicine and tell Mum." He lifts her, carrying her and Mr. Fox out of her bedroom.

A Few Weeks Later in That Month...

Bingo shakes his legs and clenches his fist into a ball near his mouth as he sits on his bed fretfully in his disorganized bedroom. He looks directly ahead without even a single blink. He hears mumbling coming from the kitchen, inside his house. He stands up and leaves his room quickly.
