"Alexander, where are you?" Magnus looked around the room, holding two shirts on his hands.
Alec sat up on the sofa, looking behind at his best friend. He was shirtless and he looked insanely good with those tight pants that left nothing for Alec's imagination. He shifted on his seat, blushing.
"Should I wear the red one? I think red matches my pants better, but purple is my color." Magnus muttered, putting the purple shirt against his bare torso, then his red one, so that Alec could see it.
Alec was honestly bad at matching colors, mostly because his entire wardrobe was black, grey and blue. He really liked purple. It made him think of Magnus because the color truly belonged to Magnus.
"Maybe p-p-purple. L-Like your n-nails." Alec reminded him, petting Chairman in order to distract himself from Magnus' flawless body.
"Oh, true. Thanks, love." And he disappeared back in his room, leaving Alec red like a tomato.
He came back some very long time later, wearing an outfit with the purple shirt, his hair done with strands with different colors and his makeup done. If Alec had had trouble not staring while he had been shirtless, now it was nearly impossible to ignore that Magnus was the most handsome man he had ever lain eyes on.
"Are you sure you don't want to come?" Magnus asked him, placing a hand on his shoulder once he reached him. "I don't like leaving you like this."
"I-I'm okay."
Magnus stroked his shoulder, feeling his bones. Alec was so thin, Magnus wished he would eat more. He didn't want this to turn into something bad; or worse, because Alec's eating habits were not good.
"I made you some dinner. You can order something if you don't like it, there's money on the table." Magnus added, watching Alec blush. "And you will eat. Because you'll be hungry. Because I know you will. Right?"
Alec's cheeks reddened, nervously fidgeting with his shirt without looking up at Magnus. The cat-eyed man chuckled, leaning down to press a kiss on Alec's forehead.
"You don't have to eat if you really don't want to, but it would make me really happy if you did." Magnus stroked his hair gently. He turned and walked out, grabbing his keys and his fancy jacket. "I'll be home tomorrow morning, love, call me or Catarina if you need anything."
Alec gave one last nod, lying back down on the sofa. He watched the door close behind Magnus and he was alone two seconds later. He looked down at the cat.
"W-When is y-your b-birthday?" He mumbled, picking up Chairman Meow and placing him on his chest. "I-I don't like m-mine."
Chairman meowed, his golden eyes looking down at his owner's best friend. He found himself cuddled up against Alec's face a couple of moments after Alec had spoken.
"I-I've never c-c-celebrated it." Alec continued. He liked talking to cats; animals in general. They wouldn't judge him. He had talked a lot to stray cats while being homeless. It had helped him stay rather sane. "H-Has Magnus always c-celebrated it?"
There was obviously no answer.

Four months later...
"When's your birthday, Alec?" Magnus asked his boyfriend, a frown on his face. "I don't think you've ever told me that. Which is weird, considering."
Alec looked at Magnus, confused. Why did Magnus even care?
"S-September t-twelfth."
"Writing that down right now." Magnus replied, grabbing his phone.
"W-Why?"
