"I DIDN'T DO IT!" Roman shouted at us. We were just asking him if he had accidentally broken my morningstar, because he was the last one with it.

"Roman, it's okay if you broke it." Patton started. "People make mistake-"

Roman cut him off. "I DID NOT BREAK IT! I DID NOT DO ANYTHING!"

"Why are you yelling? You don't need to be so upset." Logan commented, adjusting his glasses.

"No Logan! You don't get it! I'M TRYING, OKAY?!" Roman started to cry. I went to hug him, then refrained from it.

"Don't get what?" Virgil asked quietly.

"WHY DO YOU THINK I'M POPULAR? WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE ME? I DON'T MAKE MISTAKES. I HELP PEOPLE. I'M THE HERO, DAMMIT! I DON'T CAUSE PROBLEMS! I want to be loved! I want to have friends! I don't want to be like Remus! I wanna be good! I wanna be worth people talking to me! I DON'T WANT TO BE THE EVIL TWIN! I'M THE GOOD TWIN! I WANT EVERYONE TO LIKE ME! I DIDN'T BREAK YOUR MORNINGSTAR, REMUS, BECAUSE I WANT TO BE LOVED!" Roman collapsed to the floor.

Evil twin.

I'm the evil twin? All I've ever done is prank people! Roman does it too! And it's not my fault Roman is more popular than me! He got the better genes!

And he's charismatic, and kind, and smart, and funny, and way better than me.

"You're right, Roman. Sorry for asking you." I caressed my broken morningstar and walked into the bathroom.

I wish I was Roman

I slumped down, crying as softly as I could muster. No one would care anyway. It's always about my perfect, amazing brother. The one who never does anything wrong. The prince of the school. The popular one while the rest of the school try to break me down.

Because I'm the evil twin.

The weed.

The one not worth talking to.

Roman's the hero.

The zero.

I just wanna be loved.

Question: do you think Virgil angst is overrated? I just feel like there's a bit much. Guy has so much angst in canon, I think he doesn't really need more in fandom.
