" you're too slow. "

" i'm going easy on you, captain. " furlan flirts, winking. she looks at him amused, " do you know how old i am, cadet? "

furlan blinks, " too old? i don't have a chance? "

y/n squints her eyes, easily dodging his attacks and throwing him to the ground.

" you're supposed to seriously train, don't jump around too much. " she stood up, " micheal, teach him some serious blade skills, will you? "

micheal nods while the two watch y/n make her way towards isabel. furlan leans towards micheal, " how old is she? "

" 22 but it's none of your business. follow me. "

furlan gaped, " but how did she become a captain if she's 22?! that makes no sense! "

" maybe if you worked hard enough, you would too. but that's not the case now, is it? " furlan scoffs but grabs the gear.

he glanced at isabel, a little worried because y/n was not going easy on them for some reason. he just hoped his best friend won't get too hurt.
he cringed, okay, she was going to get hurt.

isabel pants, " captain! " she cried,
" don't be so mean, we're just training. "

" up, cadet. " y/n sighs, " this is the third time i'm saying. use your legs to balance the throw. " isabel huffed as she gets up, hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath.

" stance. "

" but-"

" that's straight up bullying. " y/n hears and faces levi, raising an eyebrow.
" you should be training with miche. "

" stop hurting her. "

" i was demonstrating moves. "

" switch with me. " he muttered to isabel, who looks between the two with wide eyes before she rushed away towards miche who was looking at y/n, exasperated. she could tell levi was being a brat again.

she sighs, " fine. take your stance. "

levi rolls his eyes, before he charged. he does manage to lead the fight, landing punches but she's clearly blocking them with ease. what irks him is that she's going easy on him, he can tell.

he grunts as he lands on the ground with a thud, glaring at her.

she just stares at him, tilting her head to the side as she held out her hand,
" offense is easier and quicker, but try defense and you'll last longer. to take down the opponent, you need to read their moves, predict which way the opponent will be going and attack when they're off-guard. understood? "
