levi wonders why she's with the new cadets. but when he sees her training with them, he starts to worry. not that he wants to, he thinks pettily, he just can't help it.

he is concerned she's going to faint out of nowhere, she looks way too pale to be sparring with some guy. he pursed his lips, making his way towards them, nodding at whoever salutes him.

he crossed his arms, staring blankly at the guy who was sparring with y/n - both of them had stopped when he approached them - and y/n looks confused and a little amused for some reason.

" off. " the cadet widens his eyes, looks at y/n

in fear who just nods and he scurried away, levi gave her a look. " you should be resting. "

she grinned wide, but it was just so dramatic that the wind had to breeze past and make her hair sway so beautifully. and what was wrong with him? he couldn't stop admiring how breathtaking she looked even when she was filthy and sweaty.

and if levi found that beautiful, it was definitely saying something.

" i had good rest. " she mused, he can see that she's holding back from stepping closer, maybe because she knows he hates it when someone with mud all over their boots and dirt on their clothes comes close to him.

he clicks his tongue, but the distance just wouldn't do.

he stepped closer, " i know. i saw. " he muttered, eyeing her down, " i held you through the night, if there's anyone who can tell you slept well, it's me. "

" i guess. " she beamed, the faint tint on her cheeks makes him feel victorious. maybe he needs to be more bold to cancel out her boldness, he held back his own smile.

" go wash up. "

" hey, i'm older than you! both in age and experience! you can't order me around! learn some manners! " she complained as she matched his pace, a feet away.

" you're not a captain now. " he smirked to himself as he opened the door to her room,
" erwin is thinking of assigning you to my squad so i can look after you. so that makes you in lesser position than mine. how the tables turned... "

y/n moves to go in but she's stopped, " and if you're talking about the two years age gap, " he mused as he stepped closer again, blocking her between him and the wall. " i think we're close enough to ignore that. "

" we're really close. " she blinks, poking his chest and pushing him away gently, so she doesn't get the "dust" on him, and so no one catches them in such a position right in front of her room.
