" in which, levi knows he's absolutely smitten with y/n, but obstacles sure are bothersome. those obstacles being other men."

SOFT:
chapter three

" why were you so annoyed at hange? " y/n jumps on the bed, levi stared at her. he made his way towards his wardrobe, tossing a shirt in her face.

y/n slumps, taking it and making her way towards the bathroom. by the time she has washed up and stepped out, levi has changed the sheets which makes her snicker.

he's nowhere to be seen, she wonders where he has gone off to as she climbed the bed, yawning. rolling under the blanket, she stared at the ceiling.

as her eyes are fluttering shut, she hears the soft footsteps of levi, causing her to lazily sit up. " where did you
go? "

she spots the teacup in his hand and sighed, " levi, you should try to get some sleep instead. "

" i'm fine. go to sleep. "

she slumped backwards, knowing it's useless

trying to convince him. it's just her using his bed to sleep, he never does. she's seen him fast asleep on the couch in his office a few times, but he only sleeps for two to three hours.

on top of that, he's such a light sleeper. she sighs, watching as he settled on the armchair across the room with a book in his hand.

" psst.. "

he looked at her unamused, standing up as she pats the space beside her. " you should sleep. " he muttered, but settles on the space anyway.

y/n smirked inwardly, sitting up and leaning against his shoulder as she stared at the book.

" what is the book about? "

levi smiles softly, " crime and mystery...however you name it. " humming, y/n felt her eyes closing.

" i took you to be more of a romance person. "

levi rolled his eyes, " i do read those sometimes as well. " y/n nods slowly, " do you mind if i hug you as i sleep? "

" aren't you pushing it too much, brat? " he mused, watching as she got comfortable, wrapping her arms around his waist while her head shifts to lay on his chest.

" you never say no, it's your problem. "

he scoffed, but his eyes remained on the book. eventually, his hand ran through her hair as the moonlight shines through the window, he looked at the time.

it's still just around midnight, he pursed his lips.

he can't move seeing as y/n is fast asleep on him, her grip tight. he wonders if she can hear his heartbeat, it is so relaxed.

he leaned back, adjusting himself and setting the book aside with a heavy sigh. though he can't get sleepy until he's exhausted both mentally and physically, y/n's warmth lulls him to sleep.

it takes him a few tries to not wake up at every little sound and shuffle, his eyes fluttering as he notices the movement around him.
