in which, levi is forced to go to the tavern with furlan, but ends up finding a brat for himself.

" What are we even doing here? " Levi grumbled, staring at the grimy jar of beer Furlan was chugging down.

" Loosen up! " Furlan slurred, " We finally have enough money to go to the surface, we're celebrating, Levi. "

Levi hummed, his glare still on the glass jar that could shatter under his gaze, Furlan mused at that.

They had already argued over it being dirty or not, but the younger didn't even care.

Levi blinked as his best friend gets up, stumbling slightly. " Oi, where are you going?! You're fucking drunk. " He called over the music, scowling.

Furlan grins wide, " I saw someone sexy. " He winked, " See you in the morning, enjoy the rest of the night, Levi. "

Levi muttered a bunch of curses under his breath, looking at the waitress that was walking past. She stopped at his gaze, offering him a drink.

Levi stared at the scotch glasses conscendingly. " Are those glasses clean? Are they even washed?! "

" Yes, of course! " She defended, a frown on her face. He was probably the first one to ask her that, he concluded. He took the glass, eyeing it and humming. It was clean, he thanked the walls.

Taking a sip, he looked around. He should leave, but as long as Furlan didn't disappear with this 'sexy person', he'd be on a watch out for the drunkard that was now dancing in the crowd.

Levi cringed, he'd hate to be in that position right now. Pressed up against multiple sweaty people, unwanted touches and smell of cheap booze and smoke.

He sighed, taking another sip as his eyes skipped over the bar across the tavern.

He scoffed in amusement as he saw a man's face being slammed onto the wall.

" Get out of the way, fucker. A no is a no. " A rough yet feminine voice filled his ears, muffling the music instead.

His eyes bored into her back, entranced as he watched her grab the nearby plate filled with glasses of beer and she walked away.

Levi was raising his hand before he could stop himself, his heart slamming against his chest as her dark gaze fell on him.

She's slowly making her way towards him and the closer she gets, the more Levi takes in her form.

She's not short or petite, but not very tall and masculine either. Her figure however, was sculpted for the uniform she was wearing.

Her black hair — at least that's what he could see in the darkness of the tavern anyway — framed her face as she raised an eyebrow.

" Would you like something, sir? "

Levi gulped softly, " You're pretty. "

She didn't seem surprised at all, which Levi could tell because he was sure working in a tavern with that enchanting presence and aura surely gathered a lot of attention.

Her eyes seem to stare at him, calculating. He tensed up — he actually tensed up — by the way her eyes slowly rake over his unbothered and leaned back figure on the stupid dusty chair.

Her gaze finally meets his again, and he sees that her eyes have somewhat softened up.

" Thanks. " She muttered, voice still void of any emotion, " Would you like a drink? "
