in which, captain levi realizes there's a cadet who draws him. and strangely, he is comforted rather than being weirded out.

Humming to herself, the brunette walks past the crowded street as she looked around, in search of something to draw.

Her fingers ached to grab a hold of her pencil and sketch a scenery she can keep looking back to whenever she'd like, to capture the moment in a parchment and never let it go.

She sighed, her eyes lighting up as she saw an old looking musical instrument shop. She beamed, walking in its direction but only to bump into someone.

" I'm so sorry! " She bowed, her eyes on her sketchbook that's on the ground, in the dirt. Her eyes widened in panic, as she bent down to grab it quickly.

" Watch where you're going, brat. "

She froze, looking up to find her captain staring down at her. The wind blew past them, she saw the way Levi studies her, he probably recognized her from one of the training sessions.

She cursed, " Captain. "

He raised an eyebrow, his eyes moving towards the sketchbook on the ground. Y/n goes to grab it, but the pages flip and much to her absolute embarrassment, a sketch that Levi is definitely sure him, is present.

She flushed, cursing inwardly as she slammed if shut and stood up, giving him a clumsy salute and taking off, Levi watched as she disappeared in the crowd with an amused scoff.

Generally speaking, if he had found some brat sketching him, he'd be weirded out, probably find it creepy as fuck. But it wasn't an explicit sketch, and he knew her. Well...recognized her.

He's seen her on plenty of expeditions, and weekly training sessions. Her stats weren't that good, but she somehow still manages to make it out alive in every expedition.

He turned on his heels, resuming his journey to his tea shop. He ordered a black tea, taking a seat by the window. His eyes lingered to where the brunette had disappeared, and he found her again.

He frowned as he saw her perched on the roof of some shop, her legs dangling by the edge.

" is she crazy? " He muttered to himself, she didn't have her gear on her and a fall from there could break her bones.

He huffed as he watched her work, she looked up to an old shop across occasionally and drew on her sketchbook.

" Amusing, ain't she? " He heard the old man who served him tea, " Always fumbling around trying to draw something. " he chuckled, his eyes on
Y/n too, " just last weekend she came asking if she can sit on rooftop and draw something. "

Levi pursed his lips, so that was a habit of hers? " Amusing and a little foolish. That can cost her a good few bones. "

" Ah, yes. N/n's a soldier. " the man smiled at him, " You are too, I presume. Her superior perhaps? "

Levi nods, he won't much for small talks. But he couldn't care less about a babbling old man either. He could at least pretend to nod along to whatever he was saying.
