modern au! where levi is in denial and thinks the 'hate' he has for his enemy is mutual. he couldn't be more stupid.
Sighing, she reached her final class for the day, Sasha waved her over. She slipped in her seat with a grin, " Sup, girls? "
" Are you okay, N/n? "
She nods, " Yes, of course. I just want to go home. "
" Me too. " Mikasa muttered, " Everyone is so loud here. "
" I know, right? " Y/n dazed off, staring at the raven head with a small pout. Disappointment once again filled her chest. If only he had said yes than she wouldn't be spending the night with her dear mother.
" Hey, " Petra moved towards her with a smile. " heard you're not going. Guys in the hallways are so disappointed. What happened? "
" Eh, nothing much. " She muttered, how fast could news spread? " Family dinner came in the way. "
" Oh. " Petra leaned closer, a small giggle escaping her lips, " Levi said yes. "
Y/n chuckles, giving her head a pat. Flushing, Petra widened her eyes and rushed away.Mikasa snorts, " Stop making everyone fall for you. "
" But you won't fall for me, Mikasa. Any tip? " She teased, grinning. Mikasa laughs, gently smacking her arm. " What if I already did? "
Giggling, she sighed softly. Her friends would make her feel better, but the pain would just be there.
Maybe it was better if she stayed home. She would rather not see Petra and Levi together and feel jealous.
While everyone would probably be getting ready homecoming, Y/n would be dressing up for her mother, knowing that old woman will pick out each detail. She just hoped her mother won't ruin another attempt at this family dinner.

" I said no, Four eyes. " He grumbled, loosening his tie. " Loosen up, Shorty! Have a drink. "
He grumbled under his breath, nodding. The after party of the homecoming was going on, but his bunch of friends preferred to go to a nearby club instead.
Now he sat there, annoyed as hell as all of them got shitfaced and made enough noises, louder than the music itself.
He squinted his eyes towards the bar, rolling his eyes. He wanted to go home, but it was too far and it was fucking pouring.
Of course he'd find her here. This was her usual club. He stood up, ready to approach but then stopped. Family dinner she said?
Ignoring the small twinge, he slid into the stool beside her, pretending not to notice her as he ordered a drink. He could tell she knew it was him, but she didn't make any efforts to acknowledge him either.
He scowled inwardly as she completely ignored his presence and sipped from her red wine.
He wanted to ask why she didn't show up...a part of him believed maybe it was because of him? But why? She had plenty of boys falling to her feet already. It couldn't be that.
He eyed her dress, it didn't seem like she planned to come here. The dress was a little more formal, something that does suit a family dinner.
He could only guess it didn't go well if she's here drinking. While he tried to think of a topic to bring up, he didn't realize she was paying and leaving already.
" Sir, " the bartender grinned, " I think she just left. "
" Huh? " He blinked, facing the empty stoop and then door. She was nowhere to be seen. " Damn it. "
