Alexandra July 12th, WednesdayI sit across Lucas, next to Myles as we I watch Davian stands up and walk away with a brief goodbye.
Myles has decided not to accept the offer to join The Sun, band, that Davian leads. Besides, he revealed that they were planning to take longer break anyways as some are going off to college, some too far away, and some stay and what else.
"No bassist Myles for us" I fake frown.
"We were rooting for you, Myl" Lucas backs me up, nodding along.
"Too sad, too bad" Myles mutters, taking a sip from his coke.
"Team Pepsi, you're trippin'" I state, speaking my truth. Dr.Pepper is the best of them all, but Pepsi over Cola in this discussion any day.
"You couldn't be more wrong-" Myles thinks he has a right to say anything, but Lucas defends me once again.
"I'm with you, Alex. Pepsi got this one"
I nod at him approvingly. The waitress comes up to us, smiling widely, her eyes shining as she looks at Myles.
"Hi, you here! Need anything else? Any refills?" This chick is only gawking at Myles at this point, barely even glancing at us, not that I care or anything.
At least I get to stare at his bewitching side-profile as he's looking at her, though he turns his head to me, not wanting to have staring contest with the waitress.
We're at this small diner near the beach, it isn't too busy, so we decided to eat out tonight.
Most of the seatings are booths, small tables for a person or two at the opposite wall. The counter with counter chairs adds the movie-like effect, I could swear I'm in a "End of the F*****g world", our place is a more modern looking. The whole place smells like fries and coffee, making me both gag and admire the scent of latter one.
"Cherry pie?" I ask, raising my eyebrows at Lucas as the waitress sways away. I hate anything cherry related. Besides cherry cola, but that's not the point.
Lucas nods at me eagerly, as Myles speaks up, "This rat eats anything" He gets it.
"Says a rat himself" Lucas is so mature to shoot back. At least I ain't a rat here, like these two.
I tune out their bickering, leaning back against the seat. I look to my left, out the window, seeing a light rain starting to fall down.
The sky is darkening, and people are thinning out from the street. I hear my name get called out, I turn my head back to the guys, "Mhm, yeah" I agree to whatever was being said.
"See, I told you!" Myles exclaims to his brother. "That's what I'm talking about. Knew I could rely on you, Al" he grabs my cheeks between his fingers, smacking a kiss to my forehead, he doesn't let to go though, murdering my skin with his hand, grinning at me like I'm some baby he's trying to entertain.
"Let the fuck go. You're causing me acne" I try to get his hand off my face, scowling.
"Whatever, Princesa" He finally let's go, flicking my forehead.
"You're so fucking cruel" I mutter, slapping the back of his head, not too hard. I'm not a monster.
***
I push the door open and let these two lovely gentlemen out of the Beachwood Diner as Lucas snorts a laugh at something Myles said, holding up his middle finger.
It's raining more heavily than before, and we stand under the roof that's over the front of the building. We would have stayed inside longer, but the staff shoo'd us away, telling us they are closing for the day.
