"Al, I wanted to ask you something"

I look up to Myles as we're walking the streets of Ashford City. We visited the band; they're currently working on recording a new song. It was my first time seeing their studio, a small, but practical rented room.

I hum in response, letting him know that I'm listening. Feeling raindrops on our skin, we speed up our pace. The sky had gotten much clearer and none of us has an umbrella with us.

"Shit" Myles mutters. He grabs my arm and pulls me into the store. "I'mma find us something"

"I'll wait here" I tell him. He looks back at me and nods, leaving me stand here.

Myles walks up to me with an umbrella in hand and smiles holding it up to show me.

It's not far from pouring when we step outside. Myles holds the umbrella above us and we continue walking.

It's getting late and now evident dark clouds are making it look even darker. People are rushing to get home and away from the rain. Cars passing past us, buildings' lights shining on streets and lighting everything up.

Myles snakes an arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. "You're getting wet if you're that far"

Really, sir?

I snort, but he interrupts before I can even say anything. "Shut up!"

My grumpy guy is grumpy again.

"Isn't your arm tired? I can hold it" I put my hand on the handle, but he swats my hand away.

"No."

I shrug, letting him tire himself. I offered nicely; he can have a cramping arm if he wants to.

I like rain, I always have, I think it must be my favourite weather.

I love watching rain and I love walking in rain, with or without umbrella. I have nothing against just standing in rain and doing nothing, it's refreshing in a way.

The sky is crying and I aren't the only one, I have tried to find comfort in that, but it never convinced me.

"Kiss me on the sidewalk" I blurt out. I press my mouth shut and look other way from him.

Myles walk slows down until we are standing still. "What?"

I pull the hood over my head, turning around and looking into the café's ceiling-to-floor window.

I'm jealous of them, they sit inside and enjoy their hot coffee. I feel my cheeks heating up, but I force myself to face him. What do I say?

I shrug. "Taylor"

He sighs, smiling softly. "I feel like everything that ever goes on your mind is Taylor"

And he's absolutely right, because all I ever thing about is Taylor, what book to read next and him.

Thinking about him is probably, definitely a problem.

Myles grabs my arm and pulls me back closer, so I wouldn't get rained on directly, also saving me from getting ran over by a cyclist. "What about we get inside?"

My eyebrows fly up in my face, but Myles kisses my temple and turns me around by shoulders and nudges me to the door.

The café is bustling with people and chatter, much warmer than outside, here people are smiling. It's opposite for me, I was content outside, not inside amongst too many people.
