Alexandra August 6th

It's late in Sunday when me and Myles are waiting at the bus station for Lucas. The wedding is in two days and I'm feeling as much excited as I feel nervous.

There will be so many people I have never met, my refuge going to be Millie and Lukey.

The air around us is warm and I feel like throwing up as a drunk sits a few feet away from us.

The strong stench of not having showered for at least years and alcohol makes my head spin.

My heartbeat picks up as his gaze lingers down my bare legs that are seen through a long slit, I cross them and pull the material of my long skirt over them.

The reek brings me flashbacks and they aren't merciful, per say. Without my control, it makes me panic a little.

I face Myles, he must sense my discomfort as he puts his hand to the back of my head and pulls me to him. His arm shelters me a little from the dude and I breath in Myles scent in his hoodie to calm myself.

"Myles" I start, I don't know how to explain myself without asking to be pitied.

"It's all fine, Princesa" he presses a kiss to my head. I wrap my arms around him and hold him close.

The drunk stands up and takes his garden trolley with him, I'm not even concerned at this point about that. With a last glance at us he walks away, crossing the street.

I sigh in relief.

I let go of Myles hesitantly, standing to take a breather and plopping down a little farther than I was before.

I have told Myles a little snippet from my past, the things that aren't too cruel, things that wouldn't get back to me somehow.

I brushed off the little incident with my father long ago, apologizing and saying he had drunk a little too much that day. Myles didn't pry anymore and understood. I was thankful, am thankful, same as he is minding his shit right now.

He must aim that drunks have been a part of my life, that couldn't have been too joyous.

"He was creepy and shit. Skunk he was"

"True that. I saw. I'm sorry he was like that." he says.

"Why? Not your fault, is it?"

Myles doesn't say a word, but breaths out because a bus number 38 pulls up and grinning Lucas falls out. His smile infects me and the corners of my mouth tilt up. There he is, my Lukey.

"Alexandra!" he all but yells. "My beautiful girl, I missed you so much, munchkin"

"Munchkin?" I hug him back as he squeezes me to death. "Really?" I scoff. He let's go, his hands to my shoulders.

"Yes, ma'am" he pokes my nose, I slap his hand away.

"You're forgetting about your brother" I whisper and side glace to the guy, seeing him watching us.

Lucas presses his lips into tight line and let's go of me, scurrying to Myles and faking excitement, throwing arms around him "I missed you too"

Myles' hands stay on his sides as he scrunches up his face. He rips his brother away from him and murmurs something. Lucas perks up and walks to the dude standing near us.

"Guys, this is Easton" he pats the guys' shoulder. He had been standing there, his hand gripping his back-bags' strap. "Easton, this is Myles and his girl Alexandra"

His girl. Myles' girl Alex, me.

"Hey" the brunette gives a half wave. "Nice to meet you"

"Hey, Easton" I smile stepping closer to shake his hand, he takes it with a small smile.
