"Let's fan out here," Bobby ordered, turning around to face us, his torch light bouncing off the debris around us. "Let's keep an eye out for anyone that would need our help."

"Maddie's sending over any information about any potential leads," Chimney piped up, holding up his radio.

"That's good, keep us updated," Bobby nodded at him, "I want you, Hen and Yara to head east. Athena, Buck and I will head north which leaves you three," he turned to Eddie, Lena and I, "to work together and head west."

I was already starting off before he finished speaking, Eddie and Lena rushing to keep up with me as I worked to climb over a small pile of debris.

"Check in every few minutes!" Athena yelled after us.

"Roger that!" Eddie waved his hand back at them before sliding down the pile after me, "Let's get looking then, do we have a plan?"

"Yeah," I grumbled softly, "see, save."

Lena snorted softly, holding her torch out in front of her while Eddie threw me a flat smile, "Good plan..."

I crouched slightly, shoving my torch into a pile of debris, looking for anyone inside, my lungs seizing harshly as I moved.

"I can't believe this is Los Angeles..." Lena murmured, walking ahead a few paces, "it's unbelievable."

"It'll bounce back," Eddie announced easily, "the community is already banding together and resources are already being sent."

Slowly, I stood up again, turning away from the debris to start walking again, "Nothin' will ever be the same though."

I heard the two of them hurry after me again, their lights joining mine over buildings and piles.

"I didn't say it would be," Eddie fell into step next me, "I know things won't be the same but there will be a chance for everyone to heal."

"Not everyone..." I mumbled, casting my eyes over the damaged structures and the path of destruction. Not everyone got as lucky as we did; not everyone left this disaster alive.

"No," Eddie nodded slightly, "not everyone."

"Report," Bobby's voice rung out through our radios.

"Diaz, we haven't got anything yet," Eddie reported back quickly.

"Neither have we," Hen called out a second later.

"Alright, keep looking," Bobby concluded, switching the radio line off again, a soft silence settling over us, the only sound stemming from water droplets hitting something I couldn't locate.

"You know," Eddie started up again, briefly glancing over his shoulder at Lena, "we heard Bobby's call."

I frowned, looking up at him for a moment, "What?"

Eddie offered me a small smile, "His call? Your rescue gone wrong? Firefighter down?"

"Oh," I turned away, busying myself with searching again.

"Yeah... we all heard it," Eddie lowered his voice, leaning down slightly, "it was horrible."

I snorted lightly, refusing to meet his eyes, "For you and me both."

"Are you okay?" He asked quietly, both of us stopping near some fallen boards, lifting them slightly to take a look under them.

I hesitated, debating whether or not to be honest before shrugging, "I've been better."
