The entire team was either covered in sweat or dirt, some even both. None of them were even able to get the ball from me.
Only Mark and Jason came close to tackling me, but of course, they couldn't.
'I'm not gonna lie, I thought they'd do way worse', coach said trying to stop himself from laughing.
'I actually thought at least one of them would be able to tackle me. It's a shame I underestimated my own skills', I said while all of them looked like they were one second away from strangling me.
'Anyway, this is how we'll be training till next week. After that, we'll focus on team plays', coach stated before dismissing us.
I left the field and headed straight to the locker room having a quick shower and rushing to my car avoiding any confrontation from the boys.
Better safe than sorry.
Successfully avoiding everyone, I headed straight home not even surprised that my mom was nowhere in sight.
I went straight to my room and was just about to start my homework when I heard the sound of the doorbell.
My first initial thought was 'Wow, it still works', before it registered that it meant someone was at my door.
Who could that be?
Grace would be here in about two hours time and even if it was her, she had a spare key.
I walked downstairs waiting for the doorbell to ring again to make sure I wasn't imagining it. When it did ring again, I was already at the door and without bothering to check who it was first I opened the door.
The person in front of me had a huge smile on his face as we stared at each other for I'm not sure how long.
'Aren't you going to let me in?', he asked expectantly breaking me out of my momentary shock.
I still didn't move so instead of getting my attention like a normal person, he lipped past me and made his way into my house.
Realizing he was in my house, I quickly closed the door and caught up with him.
'Nice house', he commented taking his time to scan every corner of my house, 'How many people live here?'
'One' I breathed lowly hoping he didn't hear me.
He continued scanning my house with his eyes meaning he probably didn't hear me.
'How do you even know where I live Jason', I asked annoyed by the silence.
He finally looked at me with a cocky grin on his face saying, 'I've been stalking you ever since we met.'
I gave him a horrified look as he burst into a fit of laughter.
'I'm joking. I just asked', he said after he stopped laughing.
'Asked who exactly?', I said curiously.
'Literally the first guy I passed, it was that easy', he answered.
That wasn't very surprising but I still don't understand why he's here. 'So, why exactly are you here?', I asked.
Instead of answering me, he sat down on one of the couches then took the remote, turning on the tv as he flipped through channels completely ignoring me.
He settled on a sports channel before setting the remote down. At this point I was 90% certain he had already forgotten about my existence.
I debated between quietly sitting down and wait till he realizes I'm here or quickly get his attention now.
