The next Monday when I met up with the boys at my locker the first question Ash and Ty asked at the same time was, 'How was your date?'

'Well hello to you too', I said rolling my eyes.

'Yeah hello now date', Ash said his eyes shining with curiosity.

'There was no date', I answered technically telling the truth.

'Hold on what do you mean there was no date? He bailed on you?' Ash said now concerned.

'More like the other way around', I said.

'And why did you bail on the date?', Ty asked.

'I had to babysit Angel', I answered, 'He was cool with it, he even came to spend time with me while I was with Angel'.

'He did what?!' Jason exclaimed

'Don't worry. I didn't say anything about you being related to Angel, as far as he knows she's just a girl I babysit', I explained as he relaxed a bit.

'He must really like you if he came to stay with you even when you canceled the date due to scheduling problems', Ty said.

'You really think so?', I asked.

'Definitely'

'A hundred percent'

Ty and Ash said at the same time while Jason was silent.

Before we could dwell on the topic, the warning bell rang and we each started heading to our classes.

During lunch, I sat with the team. As they were in a heated discussion about who would be better looking in a dress, I don't even know how that topic started, James, the assistant dance team captain approached the table, specifically, me.

Already expecting what he wanted to say, I answered before he could get a word out, 'I know what time dance practice starts James, I'll be there'.

He pressed his mouth in a thin line and nodded before heading back to his own table.

'What was that about?', Mark asked from across the table as the chatter on the table slowly died down.

'The dance team has a show this Friday so I have to be at rehearsals this week', I answered.

'But their practice is the same time as ours and our next match is this Friday', Mark said.

'Sorry but I can't make it for either one', I said.

'But it's going to be one of our toughest matched this season', Mark said.

'Nothing I can do about it'

'Isn't a week notice kind of small to start rehearsing for a show anyways?', Ty asked

'Not really. They started practice a while ago but since I'm the dance captain they at least need me to be there this week plus I already know what their doing, it won't be hard for me to catch up', I explained.

'You're dance captain?', Ash asked.

'Yeah'

'But aren't you cheer captain?', Ty asked.

'I am and a lot more'

'Like how many more', Ash asked.

'Practically all but the assistants mainly cover up unless it's really important', I explained.

'How's that even possible?', Ty asked.

'Because it's her', Jason said sending me a wink.

The conversation ended there but not before Mark sent Jason a questioning look.
