The next day, instead of all of them to head straight home, we decided to watch a random movie while eating breakfast.
When I eventually managed to kick them out of my house, I soon realized they were the only source of entertainment I had in my life.
I decided to waste my time on social media and it partially worked. Everyone was all over Halloween and what they were going to dress up as this year.
In a normal situation I would be excited since it's also my birthday but it's not like I or anyone else has something special planned. As far as I know, it's just another day in many, except people will be dressed up in costumes.
The day went by so slowly that when Monday came I was so happy some people would call it a crime.
The planning committee was holding their first official meeting today to finalize everything we had already planned online. Everything was practically already decide but we needed to finalize the things we couldn't exactly do through our phones.
The Halloween party was set for this Friday and I needed to give more attention to the planning so I texted coach that I wouldn't be able to make it for practice this week but I was kind of relieved when he said there wouldn't be any practice this week because something was going on with the field that they had to take care of.
I headed straight to my locker not even surprised to see the boys there but when I got closer the conversation died down as they saw me approaching.
'Hey Sophie', Ty said.
'Hey. What's up?'
'Except for our excitement about Halloween, not much else', Ash said as he moved aside so I could open my locker.
'That's great. I guess that means you guys are also excited for the Halloween part this Friday', I said.
'Definitely, but most especially for my annual Halloween pranktastrophe', Ash snickered.
'Pranktastrophe?' I said confused removing the books I need and then closing my locker.
'He's planning the biggest prank ever for our senior year so that's what he's planning to call it', Jason explained.
'Well, that's dumb', I said as Ash let out a loud gasp exaggerating his shock and disappointment. 'How could you say that?',
'I'm just saying the truth', I shrugged as I avoided his exaggerated disapproval heading to class.
Classes were a blur and soon enough came lunch. I headed to the library to meet up with the rest of the planning committee.
The library was practically deserted except the few students. I headed to the corner were a bunch of students were gathered.
Andrew, a tall brunnette commonly referred to his stage name, Moonboy was the first to spot me and sent a two finger salute my way as I slipped into a seat.
'Hey guys', I said, everyone greeting me back with a hi or a silent wave.
After a while, a few more people joined us and we soon began.
'Let's go over what we've already planned out to make sure nothing's missing', I said.
'Okay so far for entertainment, we've booked the DJ and Moonboy has decided to perform a dance routine during the party', Crystal, the assistant president of the committee said as Moonboy gave a slight bow.
'What about decorations and snacks?', I asked.
'The decorations are in the school's storage room and all the refreshments are set to arrive on Friday' ', Crystal said checking off everything from her clipboard.
