Violet, Rowan, and Sunny ran to the working area (although Sunny was in Violet's arms) They saw the Foreman, still wearing his mask and holding pots, Klaus, who looked ready to operate the machinery, and Charles, who was tied to a log, screaming.

"Klaus!" cried Violet. "Don't do it!"

"He won't listen to you." Foreman Flacutono growled smugly. "Klaus, you lucky boy, why don't you turn the machine on?"

"Yes, sir." Klaus said slowly and flicked a switch.

"Now, you lucky boy, push!" the Foreman cried.

Klaus pushed and Charles began to move towards the wood cutter.

"How do we get him to stop?" whispered Rowan.

"I don't know... there is a word we need to say." said Violet, thinking hard.

"Lucky!" they both exclaimed at once.

"Lucky! Pull!" shouted Violet.

Foreman Flacutono shouted loudly. "Lucky! Push!"

"Lucky, pull!" yelled Rowan.

"Lucky!" shouted the foreman. "Push!"

"Klaus!" screamed Violet desperately as Charles got closer and closer. "Klaus, lucky, pull!"

Then, Dr. Orwell came walking towards them. "Lucky!" she called. "Don't listen to your sister or friend!"

Klaus stopped pushing or pulling entirely and just stood there. Then, as if he had made up his mind, he started to push.

"Remember, one word will undo the hypnosis completely!" whispered Violet urgently.

"Yes, but which word?" whisper-shouted Rowan as Charles got closer and closer.

"I don't know, I don't know." said Violet, closing her eyes. "Hang on... just let me think."

Sir's voice ran through her mind.

That will cost an inordinate amount.

Then she could hear Klaus' voice, explaining what the word 'inordinate' meant.

"Inordinate!" she shouted. "Klaus! Inordinate!"

Klaus took his hands off of the lever immediately and looked up. He rubbed his eyes.

"What happened?" he asked, looking around at Violet, Sunny, Rowan, Foreman Flacutono, and Dr. Orwell, who were staring at him as if they were waiting for him to do something.

"Dr. Orwell hypnotised you again." said Violet hurriedly.

"She made you almost kill Charles." explained Rowan quickly.

"We found out your trigger words." said Violet.

"'Lucky' to hypnotise you, and 'inordinate' to unhypnotise you." finished Rowan.
